Was saying this on the way out on Weds. Last season we won 7 out of 23 which is roughly a third
This season we have won 3 and lost 2. If we can win on Sat, that takes it to 4 from 6 and that could be the difference between going up and not.

We are always going to be a good away team because of how we play, but if we can flip the home form we have a real chance

    1-1 then :emoticon-0141-whew:

We're playing so well at the moment we should be too irresistable for Boro unless they sit very deep and make us try and break them down, which caused us problems against Cardiff, I doubt Boro will do that so fancy us to find a way through them. If they try to play out we'll use our excellent high press which has forced mistakes from most teams this season. I'll go 2-0 to the lads.

I honestly believe that any team that comes and attacks us will struggle to stop us scoring several. Even the losses against Ipswich and Preston we could have and probably should have had a one or two more in the net and could easily argue they were fortunate with the bounce to score what they did.

Our losses this season imo will be mainly from teams coming sitting back and us not finding a way through for all the huff and puff and near misses we fail to score (it happens) and then getting caught on the break or from a set piece against the run of play!

Can't see Boro coming to play like that and I reckon they will get punished. I'd like to see us get a couple of runs of 5 or so wins on the bounce, these lads are definitely good enough for that and that is what wins promotions.

Great thread as always mate, after the midweek 5 hour round trip turned into six and a half due to road closures after the game and traffic before, we’re staying over and in the box for this one, should be a cracking game with two in form sides and a sort of derby (well it is for them haha) should add some spice to it, think this will be close 2-1 to us haway haway haway

Thanks for the classy match thread again, RTB.

Thinking about how the game will play out, Boro like a lot of possession so they will try to pass us to death and work the ball through us. Plus the threat of Jones either getting played into space or running past players. McGree is another danger man.

A lot will hinge on how good our high press is, how well Boro can beat it, and how well we defend the ball down the sides.

For us attacking, if we can really click then Boro will have a lot of problems. Can Burstow keep improving and get some more shots in? Rusyn, Hemir, AA to be an influence? Can Jobe put in another 8/10 performance?

It’s a nicely poised match up.

How good our home form will be depends on how good we get at breaking down 10 men behind the ball, and opponents slowing the game down to take the pace out of the game and the heat out of the crowd. I'm sure they're working hard at it on the training ground....and if they can get it right it will be the difference as you say imo.

Same squad as Wednesday is effectively what he said.

    Based on recent comments:

Cirkin, Alese, Ekwah, Pritch, Dack & Mayenda all back after the international break.

    Pembele a work in progress

Little bit longer for Matete and Evans

Assume Cirkin, Alese and Mayenda will all need a u21/bounce game

U21s are at home on Monday night v Peterborough in the cup. Could be some lineup for that one.

I’m expecting a change or two tomorrow based on what TM said about 3 games a week and some lads needing a rest. Boro we’re never gonna struggle for too long and I expect a tough game. Home win though and a great atmosphere.

they attack us and that will be their mistake, a fully fit team would win this no bother but i reckon 2-1, we were bad on Wed, but will be up for this i hope. there is loads of seats still in the upper west corner left
