Good Morning. It's Friday 6th October, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Ban Patrick Bamford from Professional Football A bitter Queen Park Rangers fan has launched a petition to try to get Patrick Bamford banned from Professional Football, following the sending off of their shot-stopper Asmir Begović. Having obviously followed Bamford's career for a while, the West London whack-job, going under the alias of 'QPR fanbase' claims the one time England star continually dives in an effort to get opponents sent off and see's his decision to plot a course around the charging 6' 7 Serb as the final straw!!! Whether Bamford could have stayed on his feet is still a bone of contention, but they have called on the EFL to give Bamford a lifetime ban to protect the integrity of the game. "Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has been continuously diving and simulating fouls to attempt to get his opponents sent off. The final straw was on the 4th October when Bamford dived outside the box causing Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Asmir Begovic to be sent off and banned for 3 games. I call on the EFL to ban Patrick Bamford from playing football again, to reinforce the integrity of this league." please log in to view this image England 'aggressively pursuing' Leeds starlet Speaking at last nights press conference, Wales Under-21 Manager Matty Jones revealed that England are aggressively trying to recruit Leeds U21 star Charlie Crew for the three Lions. The 17yo midfielder, who only signed professional terms three months ago, has hit the ground running this season. As well as playing a staring for Michael Skubala's side, he has already been promoted to train with the Leeds senior squad, alongside fellow Welsh stars Dan James, Ethan Ampadu and Joe Rodon. He was also invited to train with the senior Welsh Squad during last months International Break. “I can confirm they are not rumours. “England are being very aggressive at the moment in their recruitment of players, and we have to admire that, because they’re looking to us to recruit players, and that’s a huge compliment. “With Charlie, we are very reassured that we have done absolutely everything in our control, to make sure we’ve provided him the right platform to excel. “I’m fully confident that he’ll stay with Wales. We’ve had good meetings with him and his parents, who wanted to make an informed decision based on all the evidence they’ve been given, and you have to honour that and accept it.” please log in to view this image
Morning Campers. Only headline I want to see about Bamford is him scoring goals but not holding my breath on seeing that too often. Not interested in his play acting, injuries or even if he's suspended really. Not impressed with this international craic of poaching kids from other countries. Rugby union specialises in that and it's a joke to be honest. Surely England can find enough of their own to keep their record going of losing quarter and semi finals
Morning Eire, not that I’m bothered but don’t Ireland have a history of recruiting English born players?
A petition that is so pathetic from some childish attention seeker. If this idiot wants to see divers every week just watch the prem. I hope Bamford comes on Saturday now and gets a penalty i would laugh my nuts off
I don't know why the North and the South don't just shake hands, and have one football team. Talk about holding a grudge...
Seems odd that football (or soccer as they call it over there) is one of the few sports that did split between North and South after the partition of Ireland when almost all (if not all ?) other sports remained as a united Ireland team/association. And even then, Ireland had a united football (soccer) team until 1950.
Anyone seen the LUTV interview Eddie did with Archie. Eddie said to him why are you playing for England when you should be playing for Scotland…. Cos I’m English
Morning all, This idea that Bamford is a diver and simulates makes me laugh. I would love to see the accusers provide evidence that he is worse than any other player. He dived out the way the other night and you can see him turn straight away and start to tell the ref there was no contact.
