Never been but planning on going one day…..Scot’s I’ve met have been 50/50 salt of the earth ones and fking ignorant rude up themselves one country side looks great though
It's beautiful no doubt, as regard the folk, the majority are sound. Perhaps different in the cities.
I found Glaswegians to be fab the couple of times I've been there. Only been to Edinburgh once, was a weekend stag so don't remember much. Did get my coat and passport nicked though. ****s. Same as you though, in the mountain areas have always thought the Scots to be great. Never had an issue.
Stayed at the Ben Nevis Inn last time I did the Ben. @Gessa Absolute all in package, at the foot of the mountain, superb pub with superb food and roaring fires, bunkhouse with self catering downstairs. Also stopped at the Clachaig Inn in Glenoe. Superb pub. Right below the 3 Sisters.
In the Kinghouse Hotel, Glencoe tonight. Walking to Kinlochleven tomorrow, decide in the morning which mountains to climb to get off the WHW trail. Weather supposed to be improving tomorrow, not that you'd know, listening to the wind and rain out there. Downside, the whole area seems to have been taken over by Yanks
