Just got one hit killed by some big arse alien doing "the facility" on charybois 3. Odd storyline, found a load of clones of famous earth people who are perpetually cloned and killed by the slave master robots. Clones sent me to this facility to free them. Going back in with nuff floor mines
Flew into a system with a pulsating star just now. Thought tge game was ****ed for few seconds as the game was looking almost distorted then normal then distorted then i clicked it was the star pulsating. Looked fuking sick. One of my favourite moments so far
Also just obtained a new power that allows me to manifest a parallel version of myself to fight alongside me. Its very cool
Currently 6 days 6 hours. Almost full ninja now and my scoped and silenced weapons are really good, can one shot a lot of enemies. I've dabbled in base building, it's easy enough once you get into it and I've had a go at ship building which is a bit more tricky. Done some main things and just gone and explored. It's a good game but is it the great game I was hoping for? No. There are moments where it is brilliant and it takes a lot from other games so that you go from shooter game to stealth game to RPG depending on the quest but when you go outside of the main quests the content is repetitive, for example a mine on one planet is the same as a mine on any planet so you're clearing an area you've done many times before if you like just going off exploring. In Skyrim you could just wander and find really cool stuff and missions. Graphics are a toss up between really good and a bit crap, again especially when you just go to a random planet. There were certainly more wow moments discovering things in Skyrim wheres the maps here are again repetitive and just same cave, same science facility, same mine. I'm not really finding anything unless I'm on a main mission. Looking at previous games I don't think they've done enough. Some examples Cyberpunk, the characters were done really well and looked amazing. My wonderful RDR2 had incredible graphics which brought the world alive along with a great storyline and voice acting. Skyrim had wow moments of discovery and cave systems you could get lost in for days. Fallout was just like Skyrim but in a wasteland and not quite as good. Even Mass Effect 2 had a story that engaged me more than this. At the moment it's cut scene, another cut scene, leave the ship. Do mission, fast travel to ship, cut scene, another cut scene, sell gear. It's not great.
I have over 650 hours clocked on Skyrim! So many mods to make it infinitely replayable..... Cyberpunk, bought it on opening day because it was by CD Projekt Red who made the best computer game ever (The Witcher 3, maybe second best after Skyrim). Cyberpunk ran like ****, crashed at least once an hour, and there was a weird coding issue in the game whereby it would crash completely if you looked in a mirror...something to do with reflective lighting. Eventually it got fixed with a gfx card driver update. Probably got about halfway through the game but never went back. What is it like now? Has it been patched? does it run ok?
Got halfway through RDR2 as well and stopped. I play on PC and where as controlling cars on a keyboard in GTA is pretty doable, infact I mastered it pretty well.....trying to control a ****ing nag with mouse and keys was most infuriating. Need to get me a new control pad. I had one back in the day when I played Dark Souls but it broke. Also I kept accidently doing **** in town in RDR2 and getting wanted. Might be because im 40 now and am getting old though
I only played Cyberpunk 6 months ago and the bugs are all gone. Solid stealth/shooter nothing special but certainly fun and worth playing through.
Yeah that's a matter of opinion, I loved it. Thought the story and acting were brilliant. But yes opinion. Like you say though it looked great and that was 5 years ago and it looks infinitely better than Starfield.
Now I was expecting to be clocking up Skyrim hours in this and **** every game until they are down to £20 in a few years time but I already know I'm binning this off for GTA. After this, Rockstar have the chance to really **** Bethesda over and show them how a modern game should be. Until then I'll keep playing and see if it can change my mind.
And just to be clear that's supposed to be a top view that you get for completing a mission and obtaining a penthouses suite for yourself but it looks ****ing awful. That's not to say they're are some good graphics and views in Starfield but there are a lot of **** ones like that as well.
