Will catch up on the weekend’s great results in due course, but just to note that Frankel’s 2yo half-brother has been entered to run at Salisbury on Thursday. Kikkuli (Kingman) is the final foal out of Kind, who sadly died shortly after foaling the colt. He’s an intended runner in the 7f Novice with Kieran Shoemark already jocked up. Name-wise, according to Wikipedia, Kikkuli was the master horse trainer of the Hurrians who lived in northern Syria and surrounding areas between 2300-1000BC. He was the author of a chariot horse training text that was discovered in the early 20th century.

Westover has been retired after picking up a career ending injury in the Arc. There have been rumours that his breeding rights have been sold but I don't know how true they are. I also have it on good authority that Chaldean goes to stud next year at Banstead Manor (they'll announce his fee after Champions Day) so I can't see them sending two sons of Frankel to stud in the same year. Tattersalls October Book 1 has concluded with Frankel responsible for 4 of the Top Ten lots. After the Frankel colt out of Bizzarria topped yesterday (and the whole sale) selling to Coolmore for 2million, today the Frankel filly out of G1 winner Millisle topped today’s session selling for 1.6million to Shadwell. Of 21 lots offered 19 lots were sold.
