I said to a lad at work yesterday that we might get lucky and scrape a draw if they had an off day but in reality all I wanted was to come out of the game and to have not been utterly embarrassed by an an absolute humping and to have not added to our injury list. He’s a Man Utd fan and he was raging watching them lot on Tuesday night…..today is gonna be fun at work!
Comments on BBC sport made for mostly good reading. Liked this one! "Man United fan here. I see the same seeds of glory sprouting in the Toon that were evident under Sir Alex Ferguson in the early years. Enjoy the journey. Tonight was your night."
I agree. Good bunch of lads all fighting full blooded for the team. Proper football that was last night
That Schar goal though. He wins the ball. In the 91st minute on the edge of THEIR box. Passes to Bruno. Runs around him and unleashed that shot and even slipped in the process. It goes in the onion bag top corner.
Going to work with a massive smile on my face expecting my phone to be red hot with the amount of people ringing me up from all over the country wanting to talk about football Just like after the Barcelona game all those years ago
T Can’t wait to finish work, get home and then watch it all over again assuming TNT do the sensible thing and repeat it.
The moment the French realised what an atmosphere is in a football ground and dropped their French Surrender monkey arses.
Nice to see Sandro hating life on Tyneside. I thought he was fantastic last night, from a discipline and positional sense. Did a brilliant job. Still a little bit of work to do with link up with Gordon and shifting the ball a bit more quickly, but it'll come. Fitness wise, I think he too is just taking some adjusting from Serie A, to Prem, then to our level of pressing game, but convinced he's going to be a fantastic signing.
