I certainly agree with you about Coyle is not a LB and should be ahead of Christie who looks off it and leggy. I think I would rather go with Delap up front, with Philogene and either Lokilo/Sinik on the wings, Twine in for Traore and use Connolly as a sub.

Well Liam wanted a smaller squad to work with and with the injuries beginning to pile up this is the downside to it. I'm a little confused that he brings in a lb in Vinagre, but doesn't trust him to start, instead putting a limited rb there ! He brought in Delap as a big strong centre forward, and then puts him on the flanks, he brings in creative midfielders in Morton and Twine, and then has to leave one on the bench to try to get some balance. Its all a bit confused right now, hoping these injuries aren't long term and we can get the numbers back, although not sure where he is gonna play em !

As I said last night, we are still at least two windows short of getting a proper team together and in that time, we will lose Morton, Vineagre and Twine and Delap Likely Greaves, probably Seri.. Will Christie be renewed (not the player of last season) ...lets hope Mr Ulker is up for the ride....

Not just because I know him, But the club should be getting Harry Wood back from Shelbourne. Damien Duff continues to rave about him.

Not sure if he can be shipped out til January, and no doubt we'll be bringing in a couple more at that time anyway.

So nowhere near ready that he's sat on the bench for the last three matches. Quit making negative stuff up will you?

Complete absence of midfield cover. It happened time and again, Chaplin was having the time of his life.

Just watched the you tube blog that a lad does - he points out their no3 is 15 yds in our half from a goal kick and Christie is 15 yds inside him ! No wonder he had room to run like hell !
Also because we auto pile in and defend ‘in ‘ our box they play it across in front of the box for their curler - he had so much time
Little things but we were totally out thought

Christie had pushed up field then we lost possession leaving their lad in acres of space, our cb's were covering 2 other Ioswich players more central.

The play started from ipsiwch goalkeeper passing sideways to their player inside their box

Christie pushed up trying to close down a player seri and traore were next to and all 3 failed

Coyle was given **** for this but Greaves was marking no one, and then just off screen to the right (City’s left) Coyle had had to drift inside and was covering two players. He didn’t know whether to twist or stick.

Agree with your first part but on Coyle at left back, this is another one of those things where fans just seem obsessed with something that people in the game clearly think differently on. And people can't just take moment to consider that maybe the pro football managers might know better. It really isn't that unusual to see someone play on their 'wrong' side and Coyle is actually pretty two-footed anyway. He's picked there ahead of Vinagre because he's seen as the best option currently as Vinagre has been disappointing so far. If it was that important to have a left footer there then we'd be doing it every game.
