Just nice to see the players getting stuck in and working hard for each other. Haven’t seen that for such a long long time. Hopefully with a bit more rest they can put in a more fluid performance at the weekend. Up the saints
I have looked at that penalty shout with my red tinted glasses on and it just looks like a collision rather a deliberate foul. The referee, I thought was extremely good, he wasn't fooled by some of the cynical stuff being dished up. Kept the game flowing. His name was Bell, certainly didn't warrant "end" on the back of it!
Just got back from the game and reading through the comments Firstly, what a weird bunch of fans they are, total silence until the ref gave us free kicks or booing Will Smallbone. Stu….wow what a free kick A lot more fight in the team and Stoke we’re definitely trying to do some of our players. Got nasty hence the after match entertainment Ref was dreadful but on both sides First half too slow and more interested in passing sideways but second came out firing and should have scored three more Two centre backs were very good under pressure from the hoof ball Stoke were playing. Looked like Pullis was back Very good three points
Not the most beautiful of games but 3 ugly away points at Stoke on a Tuesday a work of art for me. Chances enough to have made it 3-0 or more.
