in an exciting bottom-of-the-table clash tonight, cheltenham are hosting fleetwood and have gone a goal behind in the 19th minute. a blank tonight will see them equal the 11-game record held by coventry and hartlepool.
Simons came in at 86..... Cheltenham didnt score... On the upside Manure lost again and Ten Haag must be walking the plank...
cheltenham successfully negotiated their 11th consecutive league game without bothering to score. they lost 0-2 to forest green* to widen the gap between the lowest two teams to four points and wigan took over 23rd place as fleetwood leapt to 21st. cheltenham's former tiger curtis davies was red-carded on 70 minutes. * fleetwood, not forest green.
"Check completed" - shouldnt that be followed by what the decision was? They restart with a free kick and then VAR realise it should be a goal and kick-off- surely it's better to do the correct start than say it's too late?
Personal choice, but apart from goal line technology I'd bin VAR, and retrospective decisions such as missed violent conduct cases.
Yeah That’s life I’d rather have occasional ****s ups and nothing taking the emotion away of a goal while everyone waits around for a VAR decision, than less **** ups and everyone waiting for a VAR decision every ****ing time. Chuck it in the bin for me
these "occasional cock ups" by onfield officials happen 2 or 3 times a match which can make many results a lottery. I'd rather wait a few seconds or even minutes to get correct decisions. Re Tottenham v Liverpool, if the restart was wrong then stop the play rather than say mistakes can be allowed to stand
