I thought both were great last time so would be a shame. The thing is now we seem to have players we all want to see in the team so it presents an opportunity. If it is Pritch then I would love to see Rigg get a go, but Adil is probably the call. If Hume then we could go 3 at the back with Ba as the right wing back and get an extra striker on in a 352.

Patto wasn't in those pics either but then again none of the keepers were. I think we will beat these even if it's Clarke that's missing tbh.

    Me too.

Didn't realise they could go in the bottom three tomorrow ...

... or that we could be a point off third top.

What a time to be a Sunderland supporter.

    I had a dream

Pritchard got into the box, and one of their defenders grabbed him by the arm to pull him down.

Using my detective skills and my super senses, I can conclude from that he is probably injured

Will be Hume I think. Would be a loss as we let Gooch to and brought in Pembele who we knew wouldn't be ready for a good while.

Be a big reshuffle TBH with the way he drifits into CM.

Other worse scenarios for me would be Neil. That would leave us with no proper CMs available for tonight. In fact if it is Neil, I would find it tough to predict a Sunderland win.

That's a bit extreme mate. We're at home, Watford are down the bottom and were poor against Boro. By your reckoning we can't win a game without Neil ...

... with O'Nien, Ba, Aouchiche, Jobe and Pritchard I'm sure we could produce a midfield for a home game.

If it’s Hume I’d think Onien and Huggins will be full backs and a c.back comes in.
If it’s Neil he’d have to shuffle things and get 3 into midfield even though they might be Jobe Pritchard and Adil.
If it’s Pritchard surely Adil or Rigg comes in.
If it’s huggins maybe he’d be thinking of a back 3 but more likely O’Nien covers full back. Imo.

I dont think any one player is a worse case scenario as we can move players or replace them

I fit is Neil I think TM may well opt to put O9 in there and bring either Seelt or Triantis in his place. Not ideal but it keeps our shape and still allows for us moving forward

That's what I'd imagine happening tbh.

Seelt is in the squad so must be fit.

O'Nien knows the system and is more responsible than Ba for example ...

... Mowbray would have Rigg in his ear though, for sure <laugh>

I wonder if the international game (Saudi Arabia v United Arab Emirates) up the road on the outskirts of Sunderland will affect our crowd tonight.
Still reckon it will be 40k+ though.

I'd love every team we play against to come with an attacking mindset!

It's when teams sit and defend for their lives hoping for something from a set pet piece that we will struggle with!

I think it's been mentioned previously but just in case anyone missed it, for those who can't get to the game tonight, it's on Sky Sports Mix - 416.
Sky Sports Mix is a free to view sports channel that doesn't require a subscription, just Sky TV

I am going to make a complete stab in the dark and say it is Hume who is injured. So I am now going 352.

    Patto
    Ballard, Seelt, Onien
    Ba, Neil, Jobe, Pritch, Clarke
    Rusyn, Burstow

Ba looks like he would make a good wing back to me. Feel for Huggins as he has been great.
