Love how Fossy forgets that Leicester's owner's are billionaires and the club have had far more money longer than Newcastle
Offfside audio has been released. It was an error in communication, var was approving the goal, but the ref thought they were approving the offside.
To be fair to them, the VARs did it quickly and came to the right conclusion. The muppet is whoever didn't tell the ref to wait for the decision. By the time the VARs had done the decision the game was already restarted. Who's job is it to pause the game while the decision is being made? That person is the moron in the wrong. The VARs were completely on it, not distracted and figured it out really quickly and knew there was a **** up in seconds of switching back to the game that had restarted. I feel a bit sorry for them now. The one who should be stepped down is whoever is supposed to tell the real ref to wait.
Every VAR audio I've heard so far has made me have more faith in it. Those guys on Saturday weren't distracted watching something else. I don't get why whoever runs VAR is so secretive of the audio and entire process and why they refuse to have it playing live. Have everything transparent or people will just think it's shady when it isn't.
Absolutely, the tech made the correct decision straight away, it's the cold hard facts of an error in human communication, not concise enough in two way comminication. #ForkHandles
It's not good, they come across as frantic and seem to have lost all composure. The only calm one is the relay guy who communicates back and fore.
Disagree. They got to the right decision very quickly and calmly I thought. Objective. Did the right lines, found a good camera, came to a clear decision quickly, no ****ing about. Only when they pan back to the game and realise the game has already restarted and the guy is asking them quickly to confirm their decision that they start thinking "****".
I don't forget for one minute ... but in spite of that we abided by the strict FFP rules last season and therefore didn't sign anyone until we'd sold Fofana in order to comply ...
They broke it down quickly and came to the correct decision. But were not paying enough attention to what was actually going on and the fact that it had been called offside. It's human error but the frantic nature of it all shouldn't inspire anyone with confidence.
There's **** all calm about it. They both need to relax and follow the process, quickly yes but the tension in the voices is crazy.
Yup, shows up all the frailties of human composure in stressful situations. It really does come back to what that other ex ref admitted, I didn't want to send my mate to the monitor. Where's on this ocassion the ref should have had the balls to pull the game back, I bet if the game had been at Anfield he probably would have done, because the favour of doing so, would then have played to the home fans, where's he didn't want a baying mob of spurs fans on his case lol.
The ref is an idiot for restarting. The relay operator is an idiot for not clearly saying "on field decision is x, what is your decision?" The VARs in the room are the least to blame. They can't be expected to focus on the replay intently to get the right VAR decision AND watch the game currently taking place in live time. Naturally they should have expected the game to be paused until they've made their decision and relayed it accurately using that relay moron. Their focus is on watching the replay. If you're going to stand down anyone, stand down the operator and the ref. But really it depends what the protocols are and we don't know. Is there specific language the relay person is supposed to use? Who knows. But ultimately I blame Klopp cos he's a nobber.
You're a nobber. They check and announce check complete, which is confirming offside so the ref starts play again. It's the VAR guys fault, the 2 excited people who needed less Red Bull. Listen again and watch the video with it.
