So the Liverpool decision is now hilarious; apparently the VAR ref thought the decision on field was “goal”, hence why the check was super quick and he then said “check complete”!!! <laugh><laugh><laugh>

I think this is now the worst application of VAR in history yet we are years into the implementation. Surely time has come to get rid?

I've always said the system is the correct way to go stops corruption on the pitch
the problem lies fairly and squarely at the officials and organisation running this system

Just get the replays on the big screen and the conversations between on field and stokley broadcast as they are in rugby and all of a sudden you get accountability and reasoning. Will solve so many of there problems

I've said before, the technology can work, easily. They have just implemented it in the most ******ed fashion possible. Having 30 year old+ football referees, who train everyday running about, are likely useless with computers and most importantly do not want to be on VAR managing such a delicate system is idiotic.

Just have a VAR team, completely ****ing seperate from the refs themselves, managing the VAR who can quickly and accurately check decisions and pass down verdicts, not recommendations to referees. The referee will have zero say, they will simply blow on their silly little whistle, point at the screen and VAR will tell them exactly what happened.

problem solved.

Instead, you have this ****ing bollocks where the ref blows, they have a little chat amongst mates, then the VAR backs them up with their incorrect decision or as happened in the Liverpool game has no idea what they're even analysing in the first place and just presses "OK" WITHOUT EVEN CHECKING.

The refs are ****ing ****, that is it. There is simply not enough of them, they're all way too close to one another and they probably hate the players and the managers with a passion and like watching them fail. VAR should be completely seperate.
