Cracking player who seemed to be liked by everyone. As you say, from our time sadly. RIP Franny

Other than our Norm, probably squaring up again somewhere in the sky.

    Very sad news, RIP Franny.

Great player and one of his special goals was used as a Match of the Day trailer for a season or so but that might have been when he moved to Derby ? And was the goal against Man City ?
The commentary from Mottie or someone was ‘look at his face, just look at his face!’
They didn’t win much, if anything, at Man City in that era but they had some memorable players aside from Francis Lee such as Mike Sumnerbee, Rodney Marsh, Mike Doyle, Joe Corrigan, Mike Channon, Dennis Tueart and all

RIP Francis and thanks for the many memories <rose><rose>

But they often lost stupid games and they were pretty bad away from Manchester
I remember them losing 1-0 at Halifax in the FA Cup in the mid to late 70s on one of the worst pitches I’ve ever seen
They also spent stupid money on several occasions on players that weren’t even that good such as Kevin Reeves under the chairmanship of Peter Swales and loads of Managers
