Billy you've got to learn your heritage lad! In Toxteth the kids got together and collected scrap wood for the bonfires. We made a Judas just like you would a guy fawkes. We paraded the Judas around and beat it with pigs bladders tied to sticks and then set the bonfire alight and burnt the bugger!

It was great fun 'cause the scuffers and the fire bobbys chased us around so that they could put the bonfires out. So it was a case of running down the back entries to find a new sight before they could find us. In my day it was easier 'cause there were lots of bomsites around.

I was talking to a guy from Everton valley about it the other day and he's never heared of it!

Local it is <ok>

I went up a few times with the Merseyside TUC for the Connolly parade, but it was nuts in the boozers in the old part of the city.

City centre is nice but the outskirts are like Beruit on a bad day.

Honest to god mate I couldn't believe how bleak places could be until I went to places like Pilton, Leith or Wester Hailes on a grey winters day....and I've lived in Speke AND Garston <laugh> rough as the proverbial badgers arse

Hey Page, where the bloody hell is Roby? Before they built the M62 you used to go down Bowring Park Road and there was a sign saying Huyton with Roby. Well I knew where Huyton was but never found Roby!
