Not sure if anyone has any interest in this, but being a late 90s teen with plenty of mates older brothers being into Tupac, this is something that has been part of my growing up. Now it looks like the police have finally been able to slove it, although be it the person in question has been on the police radar since the 90s. Many people have headed up task forces to try and solve it but always came up short. But it's clear their work mainly (Russell Poole - Dead) will have been a massive part of the eventual arrest along side the person in question pretty much admitting he was involved in interviews on YouTube. The lad was 25 years old living the dream.

TBH mate, I'd call it a massive waste of police time and money.

Anyone who celebrates gang/gun/drug culture is in a 'reap what you sow' situation imo.

it really depends on what was true and what was fiction. By all accounts Tupac was self educated, intelligent and used his talents to try and spread a good message. Alot of his stuff was about equal rights, Respecting women and basically wanting everyone to get along. Sure he probably knew some characters but he was manipulated by someone a bit more clever than him to be around less savoury people. He didn't like what was going on at death row records and wanted out, not long after he is shot in a car. I know what you mean by your point made about glorification of violence etc, not for me.

I have been interested in this and the murder of biggie smalls for years. The music isnt at the top of my list, but I have long been interested in the hip hop culture and rise and fall of some.

The fella arrested has long been the main suspect. Proving it has been the challenge. I thought as more and more died it would never be solved. Credit to the police for staying with it as I get the sense solving this and biggies murder if they can may have a level of significance into the future.

TBH I'd be happy if they all died.

No offence but they're all part of a culture I really can't abide.

    All the people like him.

All the 'glock, nigga, bitch' rappers who make money by exploiting kids and engaging them into the shyte culture they inhabit.

A child was just knifed to death on a bus in London ...

... people like Tupac share the responsibility imo.

He's been charged with rape, gun offences, drug use, etc, the world is better without him.

I'd happily wipe out everyone like him tbh.

Yeah but all of the above offences have been going on long before rappers came on the scene.

I don't care mate, doesn't make him any less shyte.

The world is better without people like him imo.

His music encourages scumbags to be scumbags ...

... is that a good thing.

True but a lot of the lyrics in "gangsta rap" glorify it

So would you stop a certain type of film being made because scumbags can quite as easily watch a certain type of film and be encouraged to think ohhh that's a good idea ? People are too unpredictable.

badly dressed (trousers/joggers hanging round the ankles) explicit lyrics that usually end with lots of missing bits when it plays on the radio, the videos with guns, gear and almost naked young lasses 'jiggling' around in the street, the flash cars, over the top bling...only aimed at very impressionable teens finishes it for me.

a friends daughter used to have the channel on constantly, in case some people think i actually watched it on purpose.

Seems like he has talked himself into this charge. Police have know since day 1 he was in the car, but had no evidence to prove it. Now his book and recent interviews count as admission it seems.

Also the charge is not that he pulled the trigger, but that he supplied the gun. In America you can be charged with murder for that. Everyone else in the car is dead, but I do wonder if more will come now. I bet this bloke has some stories he can tell if he wants to.
