I like that sort of thing but with suet dumplings instead of spuds. Probably heart attack material but they don't half go well with the gravy. A pub near me does steak pie with a suet crust and loads of gravy, fantastic.
what pub is that? Haven’t had suet in years. Me mam used to do suet dumplings! Haven’t had them for 30 + years
Did similar. Generous amount of Chianti in it. Served with pickled red cabbage and pickled onions. Was spot on and I've got what the kids didn't eat for tomorrow.
