Sean Longstaff Appreciation Thread

It was a great match for Anderson, because he was under zero pressure and had acres all match, helped him feel confident. However, it's not a match you can really judge him on because Sheff U were so, so poor.

I think at this age he needs to get some consistency in his position. For me, he's actually a 10. Good feet, wants to attack, can drop, etc. If we wanted a little tweak to put Bruno and Tonali 'together' as a double pivot, Anderson could move forward, centrally, and be supported either side by Gordon, Almiron, Barnes, Joelinton, etc. Miley's also quite similar (I believe?). But these are Football Manager comments, I'm more confident today Howe will do what's right. I don't think he's needed at LW though.

 

He's below average at best. Like Anderson and Burn. Performing against dross will not change that. If I played alongside Bruno and had all that space, I'd be half decent too

Sean is a solid player.

Thought he was outstanding again yesterday. His work rate is essential when we are high pressing.

 

it’s no coincidence that Bruno got over his blip in form when Sean came back. They compliment each other well imho.

 

Needs replacing but will have to do for now.

 

I wouldn't be that harsh on Bruno. Since Longstaff came back he has looked better.
