Our home form is far from good, and has plenty of room for improvement. Where you're making an utter arse of yourself is calling it mediocre. We're unbeaten at home. If we'd lost all our home games what would you call that? Get a grip.

I wouldnt say he wasn't mobile, just not particularly effective with his back to goal.

He was pretty good at getting back to help out defensively,

Is it really 'an issue' that a tiny minority booed ? Rosenier doesnt have to make it one and Cooper doesnt have to highlight it futher by reporting it.
I never heard any booing and this isn't the first time Cooper has reported on booing in the stadium that only he appears to hear.
To me a 1-1 draw at home when we have dominated most of the second half is a bit disappointing, as it appears to be to a handful of others who allegedly showed their disappointment by booing, but is that really worth reporting on? What about the other 19,000 plus who didn't boo?

Just out of interest isn't far from good and mediocre pretty much the same? Both are calling it average.. If we had lost all our games I'd call it poor/awful

Mediocre means average, I'd say it's a pretty good description of our home form....it's not poor and it's not great.

I think you'll find it's you who's just made an utter arse of yourself :)

We dont really have anybody effective with their back to goal
Delap is best running at defences
    Connolly scraps a lot
Tufan is all about shooting and getting into the right positions
None of the rest play with their back to goal - except Allsop!

Seri and Rosie have both raised the issue of fans getting on the players backs this week, that’s not down to Baz, hopefully the minority take it on board and jack it in.

Manchester United fans booed a lot at Old Trafford recently
Everton fans dont boo the team but boo the owners because the team is rubbish!

Just because I didn't hear booing doesn't mean it's 'rubbish' (I'm in West Upper nowadays), different parts of the ground you hear different things, the 2 in south, heard different things, & both can be correct, depends on which bit they are. & even though I have the most moaning git behind me - even he didn't boo the players. I was curious at which point they heard the booing and best guess why

He didn't have to agree terms though, so if he was happy to play a bit part he could have.

That’s all fair enough, but your last post said the only booing was at the ref and it was that I referred to as rubbish.

Out of the country at the moment so didn't see yesterday's game but heard Liam's interview which I found a bit worrying in terms of how chippy he sounded about the reaction. I hope that behind the 'I will not change' front he is learning some things, as on the evidence of the home games I've seen this season, I'd make 3 points:
    i) I do think this style is more effective away than at home as if teams sit back we find it more difficult to pass through them
ii) While there is much to admire about our play, I don't think it's fundamentally a style of play which gets people on their feet. We don't create a lot of concerted pressure, and it seems that if we're to score a goal it will be a beautifully constructed one but that we don't get the ball into the danger area enough to score scruffy goals of the type, dare I say, that Oscar scored last season.
iii) We haven't lost much at home under Liam but we haven't won enough or scored enough either.

And as others have said, I think Liam and the media would be better focussed on the fact that 20,000 people are turning up each week despite the generally rather disappointing home form and the vast majority appreciate all the positives. And many of us, while we don't know as much as Liam, have also been going long enough not to need 'educating'.

I am reminded of the famous words, "This lady is not for turning". I know Liam isn't a lady but the sentiments are the same.
In the quoted case it didn't end well. ;)

My original post didn't have an 'I' (before the one you replied to) but the inference was what I heard - as I can't comment on what others hear in different parts of the ground and when.

I think all of us want the same thing, success, good team, good crowd's, nice football to watch and a growing fan base for the future and a bit of comradery does not mean we have to unilaterally agree on everything

We all see it differently, I'm not an ex player at any level, just started going because... My lad has played since 7 and I've learned more about football watching his training, he views that game differently to me, spending more time on X, podcasts, playing online & still in real life, at college, even as fans we're different does not mean we have to unilaterally agree on everything
