I also.spent time at both the football watching Bournemouth with Ted McDougall.and Phil.Boyer, and at the cricket ground watching Greenidge smash bowling attacks and greenhouses to bits. Greenidge is my favourite batter of all time, even though Viv Richards was even better!!
Lucky enough to have seen both versions of the Marshall name. Roy and Malcolm, we've had some really great players over the years. Also R. I. P. Shane. Ted and Phil lit up The Dell too amazing pairing wherever they went.
There was a day at the county ground when the Greenidge and Richards opening pair smashed it bazball style against Glamorgan in a Gillette cup game. https://www.ageasbowl.com/cricket/n...rds-and-greenidge-put-glamorgan-to-the-sword/
I worry he may though. Not because he thinks he is a tactical genius, but because Tuesday is 3 days later.
Barry Richards was outstanding yet seemed to get bored and give his wicket away when he was smacking the bowling all over the place. At least that’s how it seemed to me.
Used to bunk off school during the 73 championship season. Would easily get served in the beer tent! Great times.
Yes he did and it got him a big money move to Man Utd iirc, just unfortunate that they were going through a tough time post Busby.
