I never saw any homophonic stuff?? I don’t understand why he was targeted though, always put a shift in, never looked totally ****. It’s not like he was constantly having poor touches, misplaced passes and giving the ball away. Just wasn’t really delivering the end product. Decent player who could still have played a good part in this team IMO.
City launched an investigation after homophobic abuse was aimed at him by our own fans at the Blackpool away game.
If he's not getting into Fleetwood then why would he have got into a better team? Genuine question BTW.
Maybe he wouldn't ... but his life and development would surely have been improved in a team winning games...
Now that he's out on loan there's a bit of revisionism around him. We know what he is as a player. He's a worker and he's solid all-round, but he's not someone who can take a man on, and as you say, that makes him not Rosenior's type of winger. He wants a Philogene type who can beat players and I agree with that.
Maybe in the league below, but if he can't break into the team of a club that's struggling in League One, what chance does he have of playing for somebody like Portsmouth or Charlton?
- Ryan Longman was an unused sub in Millwall's 2-0 win over Plymouth - Ryan Woods played the full game in Bristol Rovers 3-0 win over Port Vale - Xavier Simons came on in the 86th minute in Fleetwood's 2-0 win over Cheltenham - Brandon Fleming came on in the 64th minute in Shrewsbury's 3-0 loss to Oxford - Tom Nixon played 91 minutes in Doncaster's 2-0 win over Crawley - Harvey Cartwright was an unused sub in Grimsby's 2-1 win over Barrow - Yuriel Celi came on in the 72nd minute in Universitario's 3-0 win over UTC
Harvey Cartwright needs to get into Grimsby's team in the coming weeks or his career will just stagnate. This will be the third team we've sent him to that haven't used him.
We have no 'presumed'right to win it, but if we get a reaction, then we should come back with something.
