Something i picked up on that ive not seen mentioned Rosie said plymouths goal came from us attacking too quickly and losing the ball But almost all our away goals come from attacking quickly So at home is this purposefully being slower against teams that will contain and sit deeper away from home One of the reasons we have won 4 in 15 at home?
I’d like to see Connolly on the left, Delap central and Philogene right. It’s then a choice between Slater and Morton next to Seri - which could be decided depending on the opposition. When Seri gets tired, bring the sub on.
I suspect, as someone else suggested earlier, that Rosie is a bit reluctant to play them both from the start, as it would increase the chances of one or both picking up an injury and they’re our only two strikers. Especially as Tufan is injured at the moment, as he’d be most likely to play up there for at least some of the game if one of the other two wasn’t available.
Yep he quoted looking back at the match data / statistics thingy if we'd have not done the quick attack and done the slow controled build up thingy (which I don't think most people are against for 'most' of the game) they would not have scored - rather than defence out of position and impact of high pressing / fast counter attack. Later he stated something like nine times out of ten we would have won yesterday with our finish to the game, which is not backed up by our home 'stats'... Onwards and upwards - just more second half style please
If there had been one person booing Hull Live/Cooper would have heard it and made an issue of it. Not the other 19,999 cheering but one person booing.
Do you mean on the left wing? What do you expect him to do out there? I'd go for Delap and Connolly up front and central in a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2
Last season was the first season for seven years when a striker was our top scorer, the rest were wide players mainly playing in a front three, which is exactly what I was hoping we’d switch to yesterday.
With the players I’d want playing, we’d have to go for a 3. He would be more narrow naturally, which is fine IMO.
