No because usually the two wide midfielders are just that. Recently we've played the closest I've seen to a 4-2-4 in recent times. Or are you genuinely saying there is no distinction between a 4-2-3-1 and a 4-3-3 and they're really just the same formation?
I have no management experience at all, but even I know fans that boo their own players need some sort of education.
I didn’t hear any booing at all yesterday, just people getting angry at losing the ball on the edge of our box twice within a few minutes of each other. “Wtf are you playing at” and such yes, but no booing. Which stand did the booing come from?
I heard frustrations and lots of groans but no actual booing, there's a big difference and I think fans have every right to be frustrated with our home form.
'The wing' is near the touchline. Connolly was isolated and needed support from midfielders People dont stay in a rigid position all match but it takes time to move from the wing or midfield
I thought Twine was an odd player to bring on yesterday, I’d have left Traore on and had Delap and Philogene either side of Connolly.
I think we lost quite a bit of our creativity when traore went off, definitely would’ve kept him on the pitch.
Not a chance, he's an expert and has an ology in coaching goalkeepers. Whichever way he chooses to play is the only way, we all need to understand that. We know this to be true because he keeps telling us. The man's not for changing.
Yes and no. They're part of the attack yes, but their main job is to provide chances for more central players
Been a very circular discussion but I thought Philogene was very advanced and supported Connolly a lot at the beginning of the game, so if we were 'set up' to isolate Connolly I don't know how much more advanced and in support he could have been.
Only booing heard was directed at the ref... A few general groans at certain points, but nothing OTT Generally crowd was OK
If you have two strikers you can pass to each other to get past the defenders If you have one player in the middle and two on the wing you have to rely on the winger to pass to the striker who then tries to score Otherwise the wingers have to come infield
