Ok so it's Palace again. But this battering deserves its own thread. Lets chew them up and spit 'em out.
Hope I’m proved wrong but it looks like Roy has done a number on ETH as I feared. This Palace is completely different to the league cup one and they managed to score that important first goal.
Conversely, we can also say that United is completely different. Rashford, Bruno, Mount playing alongside Bruno again, which btw is still an experiment waiting to prove itself. It’s yielded nothing thus far. Lindelof too at the back. The lineup looks pretty solid on paper, but it has yet to really work on the pitch.
This line up at the front needs to stop bring the preferred option. It is useless if you want goals. We now have a new number 9 but we’ve completely lost production from Rashford. Bruno also seems diminished with Mount playing. Although that probably a lame excuse as Bruno has been iffy for a long while.
We have had several forwards and they have all been largely stifled. This team is not setup to score goals and it isn’t a striker’s problem.
Hang on! You’ve only lost one match. I have the record so far this season. You’re opening the next one to catchup lol
What a fkin horrible joke we have become. ETH’s setup is rigid. He has these untouchables too in Bruno and Rashford. That front line is just not great at creating clean chances. Fkin spend spend spend spend spend spend spend… FAAAARK!!!
I haven't seen the game. Irony is I could've got tickets today but couldn't go. Seems like we created a lot of chances but didn't score?
Didn't see the game, hard to comment, but wasn't expecting this. Sounds like all Mason Mount's fault so should be easily rectified by dropping him. Job done. Never mind yet another game goes by with Marcus Rashford sulking and walking about. It's pretty clear though we need a fit left back, which allows Amrabat to play alongside Casemiro, which allows Mount to replace Pellistri. Ten Hag should be able to find a way to not lose at home to Palace with the players at his disposal though tbh. Worrying.
