1. Morton 2. Philogene 3. Seri hard to choose between Morton and Philogene for top slot. On balance for two outstanding 20 year olds I think Morton makes the better decisions.
Philogene Morton Slater Seri was excellent as usual but very nearly cost us a goal, which is why he didn’t quite make my top 3.
Morton - composed on the ball , great corners , ran himself into the ground and unlucky not score . Seri - captains display, tackled and passed well . Christie - excellent down our right , some great runs into their box . Opportunity lost to close the gap on teams above . Come on City
Philogene looks to beat his man all the time Christie, pushed us on in the second half The rest all played well
Snap. Exactly my thoughts. Morton Philogene Seri Vinagre frustrated me a little bit. Looked like he could be a danger but always tried to beat his man one more time when he should've crossed it. Did it that much it became predictable in the end
Philogene- Unpolished diamond and needs some more experience but the sky is the limit for this kid Traore- kept grafting and some really nice touches Christie- Works hard, loved the nutmeg early on- some fine work done quietly Seri had some **** hot touches and controlled well, bit concerned I saw another heated discussion with Christie second half. Vinagre- agree with HullcityAFC comment- has some really nice touches and obvious skill but he goes a little too far and ends up losing it when an earlier pass would be the better choice.
Philogene - not all he did came off, he made some wrong decisions, but I love watching him play and his determination and skill for Slater’s goal was top notch Morton - class act Seri - ditto, though another very hairy moment I thought we really missed Greaves and Coyle today. Macca did ok, but Vinagre seems to get stuck on one foot. Christie did well. Allsop .. hmm … good save but v poor parry for their goal. The first game where I thought Ingram may have done better.
