Erol was saying that they hope to manage it without surgery, so doesn't sound a minor thing.

Just reading Ralls' take on the new signings.
He picked out Ugbo for special praise.

'Even when he hasn't scored, his hold up play has been excellent.'

Maybe it looks different from the centre of the pitch.<doh>

One of us needs to go to Specsavers.

He has improved since the start of the season but Didier Drogba he is not.

From what I've seen of him both on the pitch and interviews, Ugbo seems like a very nice lad. Problem is we don't necessarily need a nice lad leading the line. I'd rather have an Ashley Barnes (not my favourite person) type throwing his weight about bringing others into play.

You can't dismiss the fact that he's got in the right place to score 3 goals so far, but they were hardly centre forward classics. He's got a decent touch but is far too lightweight for the task. I've no idea what Ralls has seen about him that we haven't.

I don't think either are the real deal. Too lightweight and get pushed around. I've said before but Etete is like Bambi on Ice. He is improving though. Influence of Robbo, Grant and Meite maybe?

Neither of Ugbo or Etete can hold a candle to Kieffer, Kaba or Hugill. Hope the latter doesn't come back to leave teeth marks on the cheeky bits tomorrow.
