Yeah he's not had much service and he works hard but I've seen little threat from him. Early days of course but it's early days for Hemir too and from the little we've seen of either of them he looks the better player to me, despite lacking Burstow's work rate.
Hoping to hear a lot about Barry Bannan tonight, kind of lost track of his astronomical career since the end of the season so will be great to catch up on just how good he is.
Looking forward to this one and travelling down this afternoon. Hospital kept me from the last home game so I'll take things easy tonight and celebrate our goals in a refined way. Hoping for a bounce back win and as has already been said a nice early goal will make the natives even more restless. These have been banana skin games in the past but I think we will be to good for them. Here's hoping and remember keep the faith lads and lasses.
Hinchliffe will mention him at least 20 times in the first 5 mins. He absolutely creams himself over the bloke. I hope Dan Neil absolutely schools him tonight.
I wonder if he'll actually show up at the game, it's on TV so the perfect opportunity for a protest. ... ... I just hope it doesn't affect our team and our enjoyment of the game, especially those travelling down there.
We've been on the wrong end of this sort of situation before. We know an early goal can destroy the atmosphere. Score first and it's our game IMHO
That statement plays right into our hands. We are better than them in every conceivable way anyways and now the home crowd will be absolutely up a height toxic. Our thousands will be the opposite and I’m sure Mogga will say ‘let’s score early’ and the place will go into meltdown. Neil to dominate Barry(TM) Bannon, first goal for whichever striker starts, 3-0 the lads. Sunderland HT/FT is the bet on this.
I feel for their fans. I hope our fans applaud when the tennis balls and balloons go on the pitch. Mind you for the rest of the match just get under the skins of the home fans and players, but for the time it takes to clear the balls from the pitch show support for other fans going through what we have been through. Having said that I don’t think we ever had a statement like this one.
