https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/p...ing-in-front-of-traffic-in-portsmouth-4352955 Exciting times in Portsmouth today. They were very brave, as they suffered physical harm (including people driving into them on purpose,) from the Road rage gammons, last time they were here.
They were not very brave, just ****ing balloons. You do realise that the mix of people in those vehicles was very varied in political views but most were intelligent enough to know that driving at walking pace is spewing out far more pollutants than neccesary for a much longer period of time. They probably all realise that "just stop oil" is the most stupid thing anyone could say, 90% of our lives are oil based even down to the hi viz vests that the idiots think will protect them from a vehicle. Insulation on the wiring in your house..oil based (we could go back to rubber if we had enough trees to tap) UPVC window and door frams..oil based (again we could go back to wood and cuttung down age old trees) Paint..oil based (could use emulsion and whitwash i suppose and re-paint twice per year) Anything plastic..oil based (not sure what we could replace this with, mica maybe?) Shoes..oil based (could use clogs and kill a load more trees ) Not really enough pixels in the world to complete the full list and besides my oil based keyboard would be worn out well before i got to the end. EDIT...forgot to mention the total twat who has attached himself to goal posts and disrupted two football matches used "oil based" cable ties, he would never have had time to tie a rope around his neck
lefty loonies won't like this one little bit, they can't handle truths and facts complete ****ing bellends the lot of them
Can't stand Boulton. That's why I'm utterly perplexed as to why anyone would say he was 'left-wing'. And Yelland is a former editor of the S*n and employee of Rupert Murdoch, and Noakes is a Tory MP. I'm struggling to find the left-wing bias here - do they need Laura Kuenssberg to interview a panel of 30p Lee, Mike Graham, and Ann Widdecombe?
I agree with everything you say. Boulton is just a bully, a bolshy one at that. I would certainly have had him down as centre right, not a leftie at all, but happy to be proven wrong. Which is why I found it odd him speaking out about GBN. Now if he had merely said there was no place for those comments in a news broadcast, I'd absolutely support that view, but he didn't - he went down some very strange narrative forgetting himself, as you highlight was an employee on Murdoch's payroll, although I hesitate as I say that, becase I'm not sure what SKY's ownership is in the UK? For some reason I seem to think that Owen Jones himself once put in a complaint about Boulton, after an interview they had (unless I'm thinking of another presenter), so there is certainly no love loss there, and certainly no left wing attachement that I can see - I think SKY still employ him (AB) on an ad-hoc basis, or did, more so if the big political stories hit. I'd probably scratch even deeper at the GBN astonishing outburst, in that both the presenters must have had an editor (or whatever they call them) in the background during a live broadcast, their interaction would have been required over an ear piece, when things need bringing into schedule/time/matter of fact, someone must have been overseeing these two presenters and just let it ride!
I'm happy for someone to suggest otherwise on any part of my comment, but personally I don't care if it's the BBC, ITV, SKY, GBN there has to be a standard within a broadcast and going down the line of who you might or might not want to sleep with is not professional. I've seen comments where the female in question has said (allegedly), comments of a similar nature in the past on Twitter - but I'm not interested in that, I am interested in the standard of news broadcasting that represents the UK, regardless of its political alignment. It's about suitable self regulation, if you overstep that mark, then someone is eventually going to want to sanction you.
Agree with this mate, if you are an entertainment chat show you can get away with a lot in the name of humour/banter but if you want to be accepted as a serious news program you have to meet/set standards. Will just point out i have never seen GBN and probably never will.
Correct. These lefty loony tree hugging twats in their oil based hi-viz outfits are ****ing thick as **** Hypocritical arse wipes.
Pumpey is like a few others that aren't really interested in a conversation about the topics, they just want to make it about personalities in the hope they get the thread locked. They still haven't worked out that they've been taken for a total mug in being plonked here for a wheeze that failed from the get go. As for just stop oil, even the other environmentalists are against their methods, to such a degree that there is a strong suspicion that they are being rallied and supported by pro-oil groups, as they are pushing more and more people against the issues. The bigger problem is that most people can see that the alternatives not only won't work with current technology, but are liable to make things worse, and are driving up prices.
