People riding ebikes with the same disregard for the rules of the road that cyclists adopt.

Such as ignoring red lights, riding in pedestrian areas and pulling out infront of motorists and expecting them to just stop.

will be legal soon, remember the first cars were illegal. The laws always lag behind the technology….. doesn’t make the product wrong.

As far as I know they're legal now, if ridden in the right place. But if they're to become legal on the road then we need laws about helmets, insurance, competencies, etc.

    The products are great.

The way that some people ride them is anything but.

I hope they are legalized, I quite fancy an electric motorbike; but such basics as insurance, helmets and, God forbid, enforcement of the rules of the road by the police need to be mandatory.

At the moment the only rule appears to be make sure that your face is covered then do what the **** you like.

Electric motorcycle are legal and availabile.

Legal ebikes are fine it's the superpowered illegal ones are the problem - loads of couriers and feral scum ride them, there are trials of scooter various places and they will be legal at some point.

Enforcement is the problem the feral and their parents who don't give one won't have insurance (helmets tend to be a red herring) will still ride like...

There’s been an ongoing trial of escooters in Newcastle for about the past 3 years. Works really well. Very few problems. The legal and well ridden electric assisted cycles tend to be owned by competent cyclists who obey the rules of the road (on the whole). The problems are high powered electric motorbikes ridden illegally without any insurance by people who couldn’t give a ****.

We’ve always had people who couldn’t give a ****. The difference is that the police used to arrest them. Now they just let them carry on. That sets the standard and things continue to go downhill.

If the police just enforced the law, whilst the problem might not be eradicated, it would be contained.

I was undertaken by an e bike. No, no, not a queue of stationary traffic, free flowing at 30. Caught up to him at a set of lights, turned green, he's gone, whoosh.
Handsignal to turn right? Nah. Helmet? No.
These things are not going to go away, but as to regulating them, insurance at least, I have no idea.

They're legal here, but you've got have personal liability insurance, be over 12, wear a helmet if under 15 and as of last year, they have to be limited to 20kmh and they're classified as a motorised vehicle, which means if caught driving/cycling whilst drunk or high, you lose your driving license and an income related fine and/or prison sentence. You've also got to follow road laws or can lose driving license or if don't have one, get a suspension before you can apply for one.

Loads of those voi escooters all round Bristol, and have been for last few years. Things have got a little better with them, but when the stupids turn up at uni you get more of them being driven by inconsiderate twats. Problem is Bristol city centre is just full of student accommodation now.

Going onto such as BBC sport to see football fixtures for tonight only to be greeted with a long list of Woman's football European Nation League games.
    I don't mind women's football at all.
But the point is, it should be separated not integrated with men's football. If I want to look at Women's fixtures (and results, tables, etc) then let me ask for that. Let's stop pretending it's somehow the same and equal. It isn't and never will be.

Just went to St Peter street royal mail depot to pick up some parcels. It's closed.

Weekday opening hours are now 8am-10am and 4pm-6pm. No late night.

The top brass should be put against a wall and shot for this.

The last twice I've ordered away tickets from City they've taken a week to arrive in the post. I know the club send them out the same day, yet the cheeky bastards at the Post Office are hiking the price of stamps yet again this week. My postie tells me the bosses are only interested in delivering parcels, apparently that's where the most money is, yet another privatised industry that's ripping us off. :emoticon-0125-mmm:
