Swansea, I believe, played a back three. Manning would be fine as a wingback. He is not a fullback.

Given our rapid and uncontrolled slide down the table, Fran, that is a nice but rather wishful thought!

There is, but the probability of me living in it seems infinitesimally small at this point.

Having played with a flat back four in the first half at Boro Manning immediately started playing the inverted fullback role when he came on.
iirc his first involvement in the game saw him end up on the right side of our midfield and it wasn’t much later, when he went on one of his infield forays, Jones, the man he should have been marking, had time and space to line up a shot on goal, that should have been put away.

On another point was anyone else there when we were thumping Leeds 3-0 at HT, only to concede 4 second half goals. :emoticon-0121-angry
Just looked it up and the Leeds goals all came in the last 20 minutes and we had injuries leading to 3 substitutions at HT.

Yep. if i recall correctly it was Svenssons return to the team or maybe Pahars either way, everyone was upbeat about it, and we went into a 3 nil lead at half time. Half time was great and then we fell apart - as good a collapse as anything we have seen in recent seasons

    Don’t worry lads.

Club is going to absolute ****, but at least we’ve just released a ghastly hideous woke rainbow shirt

Well, l suppose you could argue that at least Hummel have been consistent with all their shirt designs for the Saints this season...

Yep, very hard to swallow defeat. They all are in reality but that was “up there”. Plenty others. Spuds 2-6, Wrexham, Leicester (the one that didn’t happen), ….. oh dear I’m depressed now.

Must admit Piroe looks like a steal at 12m, but its Farke who has done the real damage.

Two months ago, the odds were tumbling that Leeds were going to get relegated. We lost 8 first team players on loans due to crazy clauses they had in their contracts, and a lot of bad blood in the dressing room

things are very much on their head at the moment to where I thought they would be. Squad wise, managerial wise, early results wise I thought Leeds would be struggling and saints would be pushing for the top. Fair play to Farke, he may not be a top top coach but he is certainly a steady hand and very very good. He’s settled in and got the players performing within a system that is tight at the back and fluid going forward. Keeping the Leeds front line together was brilliant business.

im expecting Leeds to win by at least 3 this weekend which my son and UK based family will be very happy about.

A must win or at least avoid defeat for RM

5 consecutive defeats, 3 at home and shipping the goals we have would be totally unacceptable.

Hope he can turn it around for all our sakes.

    Think we will score one.

Unfortunately we will concede 3 to 5 goals.

You can get 250/1 on a 6-0 Leeds win. Seems very good value to me

Bamford must be delighted to be getting this fixture on his return from injury...

Great season turnarounds do happen. Win this and RM has something important to build on. Lose it comprehensively though and the bounce back will be long and slow.
