I listened to this live in the car. It was car crash material (excuse the pun). She began by thinking she knew what was coming until the caller quoted a tweet she wasn't expecting, and she started stuttering and says something like "I don't remember that one". Then pretended she'd only liked the tweet until Ferrari tells her she'd retweeted it. It spiralled downhill from there as she claimed "people retweet and like tweets without looking", which of course we all do with racist and sexist tweets but what killed her is at this point Ferrari then points out she replied to the Enoch Powell one by saying "Thank you Katie (Hopkins)" She then says "If I've offended anyone..." and Ferrari stops her and says "If? Do you think there's any question that liking, retweeting racist and sexist posts is offensive". She says no there's no question but is so flustered by now that without thinking she says "If..." again and Ferrari stops her again And if you're trying to run for mayor of cosmopolitan London, it doesn't help if your Home Secretary the night before claims "replacement theory" is a thing. She tried to distance herself from Cruella but she got rinsed on that as well. I'd say her mask slipped but it was well and truly yanked off by the callers.
