Hearing rumours that the (former) Yorkshire Pirlo could be on his way to Arsenal in January for a fee of 55 million euros. Although obviously to be taken with a very large dose of salt, do we know if Orta managed to get a decent sell on fee into the sale ?
Except Ipswich were at least as good as us that day even though we beat them. Maybe, if they ever lose a game or two or injuries & fatigue set in we will reign them in but I wouldn't bet my house on it even if it was 10/1. Also, I really haven't enjoyed the football for a couple of seasons (even our "Great" Escape), in truth it has been largely dire. For something that is a passion / hobby / release that became quite unpleasant so I am not sure I would classify anything other than top 2 as a failure - the fire is burning again even though we are only a few weeks into a Championship season
10/1 Leeds to finish higher than Ipswich? I’d definitely take those odds. They still have to come to Elland Road as well. The odds of that happening will never get that high though. Unfortunately.
It may well happen, and I would take 10/1 for a decent wedge but definitely not my house, Ipswich are better than some seem to think
Ipswich are riding the crest of a wave. It might only take a couple of unfortunate results for reality to take hold and they falter. It happens quite often.
I remember him from the same game but think it might have been his hair that stood out . Ampadu has looked quality mate and hopefully he’s one of those young players who has slipped under the radar a bit for Orem clubs with playing abroad and is maturing into a quality player. Lucky to have him.
Doubt that, they have Party and Rice that can play the role, also think they will try to spend whatever money they have on Ivan Tony. Also any sell on fee is only a percentage of any profit not the whole fee, €55 million is around £50 so if we sold to them for 45-50 million pounds we wouldn’t be looking at a huge amount.
They seem to ship quite a few goals, which might catch up with them. So far we have conceded the lowest amount of shots at our goal in the division at the moment apparently.
Think Leicester look like they might take some catching. I just wondered whether their coach could step up to being a number one.
The Ipswich coach will be attracting attention, once the PL casualties begin they’ll do well to hold on to him. Several 1-0 wins for them, after Huddersfield they have home games against Preston and Hull. I’d hope the same as Emu, a defeat and a couple of draws suddenly equates to no wins in three, fatigue, injuries, suspensions, are they equipped for that. One of the early top teams usually crash away in style, I hope that’s Ipswich
Everyone indicating Leicester are uncatchable but they've had some incredibly fortunate results. It's a very open league and it doesn't really get going until Christmas. You've just got to stay in touch until then. 90 points guarantees promotion.
The lads playing for us now have the belief to get promoted. That counts for a lot in my book with 38 games to go.
Football is a mental game as much as it is physical. Winning breeds confidence and confidence breeds winning. Winning becomes a habit and if you can get on a run of form it can take you all the way.
If there is one thing that I'd love Farke to do slightly differently it's to retain possession higher up the field. Too often we take the easier option of going backwards and everything slows down as Struijk, Cooper etc get on the ball. Whilst it's more of a risk if you lose possession the players we have in Ampedu, Kamara, Gray, Summerville, Rutter and Piroe are the ones we need playing keep ball in the opponents half. There were glimpses of it on Saturday but we're not there yet.
Gray too young to change in team dressing room, and a child protection officer accompanies him on away trips. See Rob Price video
