At this point I'd blame Clarke as much as the strikers, he's become so used to carrying the ball into the area ...

... on a couple of occassions, against Cardiff, he eventually released the ball to Pritchard by which time he was virtually surrounded.

He somehow got shots away and one actually drew a good save from their keeper.

Clarke should remember that Ekwah, Neil, Burstow/Hemir need playing in quickly and mix things up more imo.

writing young lads off is the stupidest thing i have seen in fans, even more so lads in a new country/environment/language.

burstow did well i thought, worked hard closing down...hemir has done everything but score in league games and the other two have not really been seen enough to even think about making a judgement but so far i have seen no reason for me to think they will not come good.

have to say the supporters at the games are applauding these young lads, doing their best to encourage them because those fans see the lads trying and trying hard...and they are just as upset as we are after a defeat.

I was travelling back from Banbury, so wasnt at the match, I am not saying that Mowbray got it wrong, but I was surprised there were no changes in the starting line up

I can see that point of view but how do you tell Clarke he's dropped/rested after his last three games ...

... same goes for Ba, Neil, O'Nien, etc.

If they want to play, and are fit, it's difficult to leave them out when they've only played 7 or 8 games and had an international break.

Pritchard and Burstow are the 2 I was thinking of, and that is Mowbrays job, to rest players when they need it, to keep them sharp

Burstow needs more playing time, to get sharp, not less imo.

All about opinions, as far as I am concerned someone else should be given"more playing time" than him

Enjoyed the game yesterday, Clarke, Neil and Jobe stood out, but I would give Huggins motm. Some of the passing 2nd half just outside their box on the right wing was breathtaking. I was almost dizzy trying to keep my eyes on the ball. But credit where credits due, they managed to defend well. From the halfway line in the East stand the crowd seemed a bit flat, not sure the Sunday k.o. suits us?

    It's all about one opinion, Mowbray's ...

... the rest is just chit chat.

Come on mate, our defence has looked solid this season. We've conceded from a set piece, their only effort on goal up to then, and the first thing you do is criticise o9. I just don't get it. I'm not saying he's a world beater but he's doing a grand job not only defensively but also leading and helping us play from back.

When that corner went in Cardiff were as surprised as anyone, no blame or credit due imo ...

... in our current style, that battered Southampton, Batth wouldn't work.

We'd have to play a flat back four which would restrict our attacking threat.

All teams make mistakes otherwise they'd be very few goals.

But I’d imagine the opposition would have to change there tactics if come kick off Clarkes on the bench? He doesn’t have to play every minute of every game.
We’ve got a big talented squad and play lots of games so switch it up.

I wasn't really meaning fatigued it was just we seemed to lack a little bit of zip in the final third. Not a criticism of TM just an observation that they are a young side and sometimes it may pay to give 1 or 2 a rest. Like you say though dammed if you do and dammed if you dont

I agree thought we played well enought to win the game comfortably but still seemed to lack a bit of something up front. Could well be the team adaptingvto playing with a striker again as they rarely did have one available last year. But we do know that they will adapt and it will click and then I hope everybody gets behind them as I still can not wait for the next game to watch them play again. Most exciting team in the league by far and will keep racking up points and see where it takes us

All of these things could be true ...

... not sure how it would go down if he rested Clarke, at home, and we lost.

fresh Clarke running at tired legs would be a game changer and a half tho. Can’t always show your best hand.

Not only the example you have given, he was basically one on one with their full back but instead of going past him and crossing with his left foot he was trying to get back to cross with his right foot and was then trying to take on 2 defenders. He needs to start mixing up his delivery at times, I think he would be more effective if he did

Wonder if we'll start with him in place of Pritch
