Wow! Got to give it to them they have countered perfectly everytime, the pass choice and weight of ball have been spot on, but how have we left them so much space
Shocking performance from Duffy and Gibson, their lack of pace massively exposed. Gunn had little chance with any of those shots. McLean had his worst game of the season, Rowe was ineffective.
I hope Bathh is ready because Duffy just doesn't cut it IMO. I don't know why Wagner allows him to go so far forward so often.
In spite of that, we're still in 6th place, but I certainly don't want promotion now. We'd be massacred.
We can take one positive from today ..... We still have a striker that can score goals, maybe not in every game, but...
McLean just been on BBC Radio Norfolk mouthing platitudes and bumbling his way through his views on this disgraceful performance. Can’t remember a worst score line in Championship for many seasons. Others out there will know better.
Think Batth (for Gibson), Forshaw (for Hwang- with Sara further forward) and Placheta (can't believe I am saying it, but for Rowe) need to get a start now. We need to stop the rot, before it becomes toxic at CR again!
Dear me, bummed by Plymouth!! I listened to a bit of 'Canary call' this evening. The only decent call was from the old geezer who seemed to think Norwich fans are deluded.. Good call
His words seem pretty apt to me: "Out of nowhere, we played into Plymouth's hands, unforced errors, mistakes. Everything that could have went wrong, went wrong. We couldn't recover from it, went under, lost our heads. The two goals before half-time finished the game. We just didn't recover from it."
Was it offside in the buildup to the first goal or was there a player playing him on? I have only seen one angle of it and unless there is someone playing him on he looks offside to me.
My knowledge of the offside law is sketchy, but both players were past the "defence" when the ball was squared to the scorer. As I understand it if the ball travels forward it is offside, if passed behind the passer it is not. But this is a memory from some time in the past so may have changed since then.
Years ago offside was offside irrespective of where the offside players were. The interpretation is now down to the ref and lino as to whether they effect the outcome of the game. VAR could have made a difference, but I doubt it.
