It certainly was a comprehensive win, even during the first 20 minutes, I just felt we were biding our time and wearing them down.

Connolly really is a menace, as is Philogene, and didn't they work that first goal well. Nice to see Jaden getting to the byline, and picking out Aaron, who cleverly took a step away from goal to free himself from his marker.

Lovely long ball from Allsop to Aaron for the 2nd, and smart finish for Adama, was so pleased for him after the miss the other night. Liam made the right choice, putting him in.

Slater look so much more effective in the forward role, I thought he had a very good game, and I can see why Liam likes him in the side, does a lot of hard graft often missed by many.

Morton certainly lived up to our expectations, classy player, and will only get better, looks a nailed on starter now.

A pity we conceded a sloppy goal, Greaves was a bit soft into the tackle but being on a yellow maybe that was on his mind and didn't want to get sent off. Not that it would have matter about missing a game as he was already going to, being on 5 yellows.

We are really starting to look like a good team now, and the strength on the bench must be up there as one of the strongest in the division. It really does bode well for the future.

We need to pick Philogene out more. So many times he was wide open and Seri or Slater or Morton needed to play him in but they turned back to our left wing for some reason.

I think that will come in time, Liam was shouting at Jaden to get wider, as he was drifting in field at times. Clearly, he wants the wingers as wide as possible to stretch the opponent's defence.

Don’t see the correlation.

Someone else who doesn’t go to games.

Yeah just goes to a pub in the city until midnight on a work night to watch City play.

Just someone who gets up at 4.30 in the morning to watch us play Leeds.

I have a lot of time for discussing football with you Kalman but when you get defensive like this and play the man you become a real bore. Resorting to "yeah well I live locally so I'm more important than you" is a real low.

You spent all pre-season and the first week of the season hounding Rosenior for his inexperience and suggesting he needed the sack because of the players he was targeting or the squad he was trying to build. You made regular reference to baseless rumours about his time at Derby and despite couching most of your opinions in 'I'd love to be proven wrong BUT' regularly criticised him. Called him a bullshit artist, criticised his style in the media, criticised his tactics. You now turn around and say you've never had an issue with his style or him as a person.

Bully for you.

I didn’t criticise his tactics, first of all. I’ve always been a fan of possession football. I never said he needed the sack either. You’re just making **** up, again. I said he’s naive and has a tendency to waffle in interviews.

He hasn’t. He plays exactly like Woods i.e. a deep-lying playmaker but he doesn’t tackle or make interceptions. If that’s what Rosenior wants then he’ll be getting his P45 before long. A modern defensive midfielder doesn’t need to be a bruiser but better managers than ****ing Rosenior know you need to have a Rodri, a Casemiro, a Caicedo etc. in your team.

Just making **** up.

And bully for me? You make it sound like I'm bragging, I'm just making the point that we all support City in the ways we can, and questioning my commitment or perspective on the team because supporting City for me means watching in the middle of the night on a screen not in the stands at 3pm is stupid. Challenge my opinions all you want on the basis of a fundamental flaw in my comments, don't question them because of my geographical location.

Why would I respond to you in good faith when your first reply is you being a sarcastic ****? <laugh>

You actually didn’t pop into my head when making that comment but if the shoe fits.

You referenced people that had a called you out. Even if you weren't aiming it at me, as I said, it was there by association which is what prompted my response. Once again your smarmy attitude of playing the man when called out for a poor opinion rather than just owning it and moving on leads to a whole bunch of unpleasantness for no reason.

This all started on this thread because I said we played well and it was a good result. <doh>

If I say something critical or ‘negative’, I get hammered. If I say something positive and praise the manager and team for a good performance and result, I get hammered <laugh>

You calling anyone else smarmy is the most egregious example of pot calling the kettle black.

Maybe a good opportunity for self-reflection to wonder why that is then.
