It's been a very good 3 games, results wise anyway and much needed. See what happens Wed, prob lose but i think we will give them a game. Then make sure we beat Burnley, and we are back in business.
The game against Man City is a bonus game. We don’t even need to play. Win the next PL game and we are back in business. We shouldn’t have lost against livepool. Eddie got that one wrong. Brighton will Rip a lot of teams this season. We should be ok.
If we'd put them to the sword (Liverpool) as we did in this one, we'd not have been rinsed at Brighton and would have sparkled vs Brentford, the season would look very different. Today, their right back got a yellow so we did the sensible thing and gave it to Gordon time and again - why the **** we didn't do that vs Liverpool will mystify me for ever. Looks like this winnable run of fixtures will now be a won run of fixtures. How the season then shapes up, we'll see. Going to be really hard to finish 4th again - Liverpool/City look like they've got 1st and 2nd sewn up already, Arsenal probably then a cut above the rest so we're in a fight with a transformed Spurs, a Man U who keep getting results no matter how bad they are, a decent looking Villa dn Brighton. The league is that competitive, finishing 9th is reasonably good!!!
Simply put we have had a hard start to the season. We shouldn’t have lost against Liverpool. Against 10 men. That was poor. But overall now I think we have done well.
Botman is ****ing class. He reminds me of Woodgate but he is on the pitch more often. He is going to be one of the best CB's in the world if not already. He makes it look easy.
I’m not one to usually be arsed to catch up on 20 pages of the match day thread, but this time I had to. Great stuff lads. The pre match bed wetting was of the highest order and Schlem’s brief solo was sublime Seem to remember saying something about us being able to turn on the taps, despite being on a bit of a barren run. Didn’t expect 8 though. Up the Toon!
Can't believe nobody picked 8-0 in the prediction league. Looking like a missed opportunity for all the league and cup trophy virgins.
