Amazed no one mentioned the performance of One Look yesterday. Form looks decent with the right horses filling the places.
Amazing from One Look wasn't it!!! Beating a 101 rated filly (who was also Group 2 placed) by 6 lengths. The old girl thoroughly deserved the 1st place prizemoney - a whopping €610,000. I see that connections seemed a bit uncertain, in quotes afterwards, about where she will go next. The 1,000 Guineas even mooted as her next possible race. Being very well supported re that heat, incidentally, Skybet a standout 14/1 but just 10/1 in most places.
She did it on debut too! A fairly high knee action so I suspect she won’t want it rattling quick but a very exciting filly - and NOT from one of the mega-rich operations but a syndicate.
I see that Timeform gave One Look a rating of 108p after her debut run. That rating has been bettered by only two juvenile fillies, on debut, in Britain or Ireland this century - both got 109p. Meanwhile, the only other filly to win the Goffs Million on debut (Lush Lashes) went on to, subsequently, win 3 Group 1's.
