Hey, you’re not the only one, there were plenty of others who were whining before kick off about team selection and tactical setup. Most are now pleased with the result but not acknowledging that maybe they were wrong and the manager who works with the squad virtually everyday and is part of a management team that check out how the opposition setup, was right.
The level of negativity at times is pretty frustrating considering how much we’ve improved in a relatively short time and without having the ability to compete financially due to FFP, with a number of other clubs in the division.
I know we’d all love to be playing fast, expansive football all the time without having to worry too much about what the opponents can do but we’re not there yet.

Sky pundit referred to us as similar to Man City in our style of play. We are Hull City.

Surprising that someone so quick to give the manager stick when things don't go well, is so sensitive to getting a bit of stick themselves. Who knew?

Even the first 30, I thought we were the better side and more in control but then the two quick goals gave us the platform to control the game with ease.

His interview was a similar effort to their game.

Thanks. I've been using Le-VPN, which bought out the first VPN service I signed up for ("my_private_network.co.uk", for many years to watch live terrestrial TV from the UK. I briefly had NORD VPN but switched back for some reason, can't recall why. I tried Luxembourg today but couldn't get onto Tigers+ for their transmisssion. Strange - have a query in yet again to get to the bottom of this odd situation. John ex-Aberdeen in Vietnam said he used Belgium on his VPN service to get at Tigers+.

2 Myhill penalty saves and as I recall they had way more shots than us, wasn't that easy, but was a great day out, took my missus for one of her few matches.

Yeah, famous game that....1st pen Lawrence tries to do a cheeky chip down the middle...Boaz Myhill didn't move an inch and just caught it. Think the second one, might have been a different player, did the same.

Not for the first time this season, the first few pages of the matchday thread were piss-takingly negative for a game we've gone on to win comfortably. I can't get my head around why this board is so determined to be miserable about the current side. All the signs are good, the results and the performances are good, despite the extra challenge of a fanbase many of whom have been baying for blood since pre-season. And there's clearly more to come; we're not scraping past teams or nicking results, we're either winning comfortably or just missing out on wins. On our bad days, we control games and are hard to beat but wasteful in front of goal. That's a recipe for promotion. Unless this side drops off from our current standard, we'll be in the playoffs at worst.

Good game today, I thought Connolly was outstanding, I was just trying to put a bet on him scoring anytime when he scored, then backed him to get 2 or more & he’s subbed!<cheers>

No way Bones, the ball deflected off Christie’s thigh onto his hand. Never a penalty.

Stoke City boss Alex Neil told BBC Radio Stoke:

"The better team won. That's the poorest we've been tactically since I've been here and something I've got to look at.

"Either our set-up wasn't good enough or we didn't commit to it or a combination of both. When you lack belief, it looks a bit of a dog's dinner. We showed a lack of confidence, which is the first time I've seen that this season - so that was disappointing.

"I don't ever make any qualms with what fans want to do or if they want to boo or voice their frustration. They're here to support their team and see their team win.

"If they don't win, particularly in modern football, it's either one extreme or the other. If you win a game, you're going up. If you lose a game, you're getting relegated. That's the nature of football now . I'll be gone in the morning but should get a cracking holiday deal this time of year..."

Hull City boss Liam Rosenior told BBC Radio Humberside:

"It always feels good when you win away from home and more pleasing than just winning was the performance. Everyone was excellent. I'm very happy.

"We showed energy and confidence in the way that we played in possession and we were difficult to break down. The signs are really good.

"But the only stat that matters to me is where we finish at the end of the season. It's brilliant to win but it has to be towards something so I won't get carried away.

"We're in a good place - and that comes as a product of our performances and our consistency. There's a few moaning old buggers on Not606 but results are showing them...''
