The reason I call Matt Le Tiss a fat ignorant clown.....is because he is a fat ignorant clown.

I said he is starting to eat his words quite clearly and fair play to him.

But he has shown himself up by saying he didnt know how good Tiote was. This shows he hardly watches us but still has the nerve to slate us every week.

P.S. I didnt think we were going to be relegated, if anything I may have said we are trying our best to flirt with it giving our Transfer 'policy'. Anymore injuries and we will start to struggle unfortunately.....which could have been totally avoidable. Why do we only have 2 centre backs fit at the moment for example...?

    HTL!

Kadars fit again, and Williamsons not far off if I remember rightly. It'll do til Christmas, then see who we get in, I'd be stunned if we didn't bring someone in.

Aye we must get another CB in. Its just finding one that will be content at not being a regular starter.

He played at CB at Florest and for us last season for a couple of games. He may be ****e but technically he can be a ****e CB.

Ok then. A CB with a significant amount of quality.

Unfortuneately it's not like FM where we can all happily bin most of the perifieral(sp?) and sign quality players on the never never, there has to be continuity to the team, City weren't great 2 years ago or even last year because of the conveyor belt of players in and out, don't think it's coincidence that they brought in fewer players this season and are playing better as a team.

I really don't agree with people who have this opinion - Nolan wasn't 'carried' by Tiote, Nolan is an attacking midfielder and Tiote is a defensive one.

It's quite a common pairing in many midfield partnerships.

It is common (Parker and Modric at Spurs being the obvious example), but Nolan never ever played as an orthodox midfielder in that 4 4 2 formation, and would've been unable to play there at all were it not for Tiotes graft. Its well documented that if Nolan didn't score in a game he was invisible, but Tiote allowed him to play in that way, supporting the front two and getting a lot of goals from it. It's not a knock on Nolan, its just the way he plays.

What r u talkin about? All we had to do was bring in another centre back in the summer. A Scott Dann/Ridgewell. Even an Upson or a Woodgate. Anybody with a bit of substance in that role. Perch is a no go area.

If Kadar was in Pardews plans then this would suffice.......but he clearly isnt.

I agree it was never a 4-4-2 with Nolan in the team. It was more like 4-3-1-2 with Nolan just off the strikers. <ok>

Yes but we usually lined up in a 4-4-2 with Barton and Guti out wide and Nolan and Tiote in the middle.

Nolan is a average CM in general IMO apart from his finishing ability. IF he had pace AND technical ability he wouldn't be playing in the Championship, he'll probably be a England regular. <ok>

I think you could be right there - if Nolan was any good then he would have scored plenty of Premier League goals... oh wait...
