Just got back in. First half before the penalty, Wednesday looked the better of 2 poor sides. We picked up after taking the lead but we’re lucky when they hit the bar in the second half - had that gone in, the outcome could have been very different. Once Yates netted the second, there was only going to be one winner as their heads went down. Lovely finish by Patino for the 3rd. Worrying injuries for Wood and Ginnelly - the latter looked like the only player who could open up Wednesday when he was on. Pederson and Lowe were our better players What’s happened to the Patterson of 2 years ago. Can we build on this? I’m honestly not sure. Will our football improve? I’m honestly not sure.
Duff dodged a bullet today ! Imagine the crowd at full time if we lost again . They all as a united unit need to up thier game now going forward so the sart just becomes a bad memory by xmas or duff can kiss the baby bye bye !
I would love for him to "come good" and take no pleasure in his obvious pressure but he must surely be on some "probation" period with the owners now.
Three nice finishes! Glad Yates scored, well taken too. Might be an obvious thing to say, especially for a striker, but I think he could flourish with confidence. The team needs to be playing well as a whole, of course. One win and my hope is back... damn you optimism, it can't last!
