Starts Holgate twice. Subs him off at HT twice. Either show some guts and stick behind your decision for longer than 45 minutes. Or, preferably, stop messing around with our XI in the first place. He's not good enough! You might not care much about this club, Russell, but we all do!
James Bree is the f*cking invisible man. Genuinely feel sorry for him. He's had Maitland-Niles and Holgate selected ahead of him.
Was poor against Gillingham but by no means the worst player on the pitch. He must be horrendous at keeping the ball in training. Plus he can probably defend. Instantly rules him out
If Martin is still in a job for next Saturday then I'm not going. Easier to switch off the TV than go home early.
Not only are Leeds going to rip into us, but Piroe is bound to bag a hattrick. In retrospect, maybe it hurt our chances of signing him, rather than helped, that he knew Martin!
I simply never believed that whole line of if we want him he will come. I also simply don’t believe we wanted to sign a striker who was injured for the next 2 months instead of Piroe. I think you are correct, he didn’t want to play for Martin.
I said in the summer my first choice would have been somebody with a proven track record of promotion. Generally speaking of you give one of them a top 3 squad then 8 or 9 times out of 10 they'll have you top 6 minimum. Don't see that this will be SR's style though. It'll be another 'filosefee' manager.
I would happily volunteer for this job. I took Woking from the conference to the champions league in 6 seasons on Championship Manager. I would like to think that sort of stuff doesn't go unnoticed?
People said the same about Jones. Whilst it remains SR who are making the decisions, there's no reason to be hopeful of any improvement. Our shortlist will comprise of anyone who is already in employment, totally ill-equipped at dealing with the task at hand, and no older than 50. Gareth Ainsworth maybe?
By the way as much as I moan, SR are pretty much guaranteed to get it wrong again either way so I suppose there isn’t much point.
