But its a shorter catchier name. Shelbourne Tigers. Much better than the longer Shelbourne. I will run this over with Ehab for verification.
Oh wait: it's Shelbourne's Tigers. Didn't see the comma!!!!!!

I hate myself for this but it's an apostrophe not a comma :emoticon-0105-wink:

Really good to see the lads doing well over there though. It'd be amazing if they got some experience in Europe too!

It was always rum lad in our house. Only ever saw rum cove written in novels, sounds a bit 1930-ish to me.

Most telling thing in that interview was Duff insisting that the three lads are the benchmark standard he wants for anyone else being sent over/called over? So, an Academy Malcolm being sent over to shape up and win his spurs doesn't look like the type of player Duff will want - not sure what Rosie and Acun would think of this. Interesting too that if they do make Europe what Acun's thinking will be re who to send over.

    An odd or eccentric character.

He's a Rum 'Un, a rum lad etc.

Fallen out of common usage, I guess, but as soon as I looked at Duff in that interview and heard him giving praise rather reluctantly to the two City lads the phrase sprang into my mind.

I would have thought they would be looking to send players that have the potential of breaking into our squad at some point. So the likes of Simms, Covil, or Celi, where is Matty Jacobs at present, he might be considered, particularly if they got into Europe.
