It's what you sign up for, stupid to compare it to the **** nurses have to put up with is utter nonsense. Yes you sign up to a situation where you may have to go to war, it's a choice. You then get paid and equipped to do your job you also get a lot off privilege, for example I had the choice of promotion and then to end my service at 37 years old on a full pension. I got paid to play football as it's a duty at a certain level. It's a stupid comparison the guy was talking out his hoop.
You're 'on call' 24 hrs a day, yes. In reality once you get to regiment its sitting about smoking ***s to pass the time away hoping for a deployment. I'd say the same about soldiers as I do about the Nurses. Everybody knows the wage and lifestyle when they take the job. Try a different career if it's not for you instead of getting so far down the line and booting off about what you signed up for.
Did anyone tell him it’s not a race to the bottom and just because he’s happy to be pissed on by the government for a living then maybe not everyone else should?
This ^^ Those at the top of the pile are very happy to see those fighting over the crumbs argue with each other about who's worse off.
Yeah it was awesome. He was nibbling my fins and following me around. Think it was a juvenile. Very inquisitive and playful
