Yes, that was going to be my next port of call. I’ll head down into the village tomorrow and see if there’s a bar that has Sky and ask if they’ll have it on.
There's no Rugby or premier league clash so you might be lucky. I'm in Norfolk and hoping I can get to watch it.
Presumably, hypothetically speaking, if you had a vpn on your phone and also Sky Sports back home, you could switch your phone to appear as if you were in the UK and watch it that way? Possibly even piggy back your iPad from your phone to watch it on there?
My wife is exploring Virgin Go or whatever it is, but I'm sure it won't let us watch sky live broadcasts. At least I'd be surprised if it does. Down to the bar.
I’ve got Virgin Go and if you subscribe to Sky Sports too, you can definitely get it through that in the UK, so you could watch on phone/tablet.
I would not drop Connolly. We just need to play Delap central so he has a proper strike partner. Tufan behind the two and we’re looking a serious goal threat.
I also feel this is one of those pivotal games which will truly test how good we are/our intentions. Stoke have not had the start they expected after buying lots of highly-rated players and their manager is under pressure already. Can we capitalise on this? Or are we going to play for the draw? A promotion-chasing side would go for the kill and I’d like to think we would do this, given our quality. If we end up losing because our midfielders passed it back most of the time for the sake of keeping possession, it’ll be a massive opportunity wasted and I would suggest top half at best this season. I believe we’ll do the former though. Morton and Philogene have come in to be forward-thinking in possession. Delap will undoubtedly score, maybe two. Stoke 1 Hull City 3
Have had a dislike of Stoke ever since the infamous FA Cup tie in the 1970/71 season, when according to my dad we were robbed, Banks pulled a header from either Waggy or Chillo mid air from behind the line and one Stoke player kicked lumps out of us without being penalised, I was there that day, but only 8/9 so memories surround my dad's reaction to the loss. Ever since they seem to have had the wool over us so would be nice to turn then over on their own patch, but it's the curse of the cameras, can't see anything other then a defeat to them .. again ! C'mon City, pleeeeaaassseee !
That would never suit the possession based style we’re playing though. We’d need to drop the wingers and likely go 5 at the back to play 2 up top with a man in behind. I think it’s good to have a fresh striker on the bench and even though Connolly is scoring the goals, Delap is just way more involved and puts himself about much more.
I'll tell her to stop pissing about and get it sorted then . Or I'll politely ask if there's anything I can do to help .
How about… GK (either, for me) Jones Mcloughlin Greaves Christie Morton Seri Philogene Tufan Delap Connolly Christie and Philogene operating as wing-backs. It’s attacking, but why not? Surely we should attempt to outscore the opposition, rather than worry about conceding, if we are looking for promotion. This idea of sorting the defence out when Rosenior came in, I agreed with. But now we have done that, it’s time to be braver. Particularly now we have gelled and have one of the best sets of attacking players in the division.
You have to go to ‘Live’ on Virgin Go and then scroll down to the Sky channels in the guide. When you select the program you want to watch it will ask you to ‘Exit’ to go to Sky Sports, select that option and it will take you to their app. Can’t remember if you have to already have to have the Sky Sports app on your device but would suspect you’ll need to download it first.
It was a Terry Neil header from a corner at the noth end. We were definitely robbed City to win this 0-2
