When pigs fly, and the ivory tower that Lansdiwn hides in making irrational decisions falls down !

What he did before was great, but that was at another club. I only care what he, and any City manager does for us, not what they did before, or what they do after.

Yep, the way he let all those contracts simply expire, and barely sold a player before the 2 x AS was quite phenomenal…:headbang::headbang: Can’t think of another manager who could have pulled off such a master stroke

Obviously what’s most important with any manager is what he achieves with us, what he’s achieved before though shows what he’s capable of, and dictates his standing/reputation within the game, which can affect the ability of our club to bring players here.
He’s achieved everything asked of him so far, which was to bring the wage budget down whilst keeping us in the championship, our league position over the last two seasons i would suggest we’re as expected of him. He’s also generated sales of around £35m for two players that when he joined weren’t first team regulars in a period when costs of players have in general dropped. There are also several more players which if they continue to improve will be worth similar amounts in a couple of years, I certainly can’t remember a time this has happened previously.
The team have a togetherness and work ethic that is testament to the manager and coaching team. I think SL missed a trick in the summer not allowing a couple more quality players to be brought in, but I’m sure Nige will get the most of the ones we have, and as long as we don’t get any further long term injuries we could have a very good season.
Personally I’d offer him a new contract now as I believe he’s earned one, and the combination of Nige and Tinns are our best hope for success.

perfectly put and Steve L would be a absolute idiot not to give Nige a new three deal.
Get him signed up before someone taps him up.

The terms of any new deal would obviously be negotiated between the club and Nige, I’ve no real preference to the terms, I’m happy to leave that to them.
I get the impression he saw us as a project and would quite like to see it through, my concern is that SL doesn’t seem to realise what a good job he’s done in turning us around, or not publicly at least. To do that would mean admitting the mistakes they’d made previously, not something it appears SL is prepared to do.

SL has been his own worst enemy costing him millions and millions with the mistakes he has made.

I can’t see us winning this.
I’d take a point in a heartbeat - and hope we don’t get injuries trying to match them.

Although the result is important, I'm more interested in the performance against them.. If Nige sets us up in a manner in which to go for it, with what we're good at, high press high tempo and keeping as much possession as possible I see us in with a chance...
If he sets us up to defend and absorb pressure looking just to catch them on the counter (sitting deep)....I can see us getting a stuffing.....over to you Nige!!

Yes, why didn't he renew them all ?
And why didn't other clubs want to pay money and take them off our hands.

    Mystery ?
    It is for Supcon.

And now for our other naysayer.
Yes Hull beat Leicester, it can happen. I remember us beating Liverpool, it occurs but not very often.
As for how we set up today may not give us the result City fans want as their quality, 9 out of 10 times, will prevail.
    But, carry on suggesting otherwise.

If we lose fair enough.....no excuses not to put in a good performance.......I believe we have the players whom are beginning to gel....set them up well will give us a chance imo

How City line up against Leicester
So just the one change by Nigel Pearson with Zak Vyner ruled out through injury and Rob Dickie replacing him. It's a big blow given the centre-back athleticism and how well he's been playing this season.

Dickie's move into the starting XI has then freed up a bench spot which the returning Andi Weimann has taken.

Have I missed something, what’s up with Vyner?, I hope it’s a minor knock.

Yes it is, hope he’s not out for long. My first thought was today isn’t the best day to be without Vyner, on the other hand it’s unlikely even with him we’d get anything, so maybe if he’s got to be out today is not soo bad, COYR
