We should still want the English teams to do well in Europe. Need to get that coefficient up to ensure England gets the additional spot for CL next season

Yes, I'd much rather be playing European teams in Europe, rather than being drawn against English teams if we get through to knockout matches. However we all know how difficult it is to finish 3rd in the league so an extra place of wiggle room is a nice to have right now...
So the question becomes do we want a short term cash boost or a higher likelihood of re-qualification?
Did think 3rd in the league was quite optimistic! But yeah, get your point. We have a chance of winning it depending on who else falls out of the CL. Would probably say Liverpool would be the biggest blocker to that ambition as it stands right now.
We should wasn't all the English clubs to do as well as possible (apart from Man Utd), as it helps the UEFA coefficient calculation. If we want to be certain to get 5 teams in the CL, that needs to be weighted towards English teams as heavily as possible.
