That’s just the bias nature of a football fan. I’m saying he should have buried it giving the keeper no chance of saving it like he did against Millwall. My point was the two he missed were in more pressured situations in the game, which has cost us points. I’m not sure if I consider 21 as being particularly young for a footballer these days but hopefully his composure in front of goal, when it matters, improves.
If you get chance to watch the Rutter chance again he actually very nearly finishes it with aplomb. Sends the keeper the wrong way and but for the trailing foot of the goalkeeper would slotted it into the bottom corner very nicely. Only thing he could have done better was lifting the ball slightly and then it would have been a very classy bit of finishing.

Two things happened 2nd half.

1. The sending off obviously gave Hull the advantage.

2. Two days less rest was already starting to show around 55 minutes when Hull started to grow in to the game a bit.

It's a game we should have won in the first 50 minutes or so but given the short turnaround for two away fixtures 4 points from Millwall away and Hull away isn't a bad return. 3 clean sheets on the trot which is huge for our defence.

We had more shots, shots on target and corners. The Hull keeper was their man if the match (that's the 5th time that's happened this season for opponents keepers btw).

all fair points.. just re keeper MOMs though. There was one game where the keeper (west brom?) made some really good saves.

Last night the keeper made 1 very good save from Jimmy (though it came at a good height), 1 regulation save from a shot from distance from Jimmy and a block on the 1v1 where he spread himself and Rutter hit him with with the ball. On 1v1s keepers come out, spread themselves. It hits them or it doesn't. As long as they've done the basics the rest is luck. That's a keepers lot. If keepers are making saves it often simply means your strikers aren't hitting their spots.

Issue is with a 2 season project that we’ll lose Gnoto, Summervillle, Ampadu & possibly Piroe plus we’ll lose Rodon, Spence & Anthony so will be another rebuild.

Not necessarily, 49ers showed with Gnonto, they won't be dictated to. Rodon, Spence and Anthony are only loans anyway, so not saying they'll be here regardless.

'nearly finishes with aplomb' <laugh><laugh>

The 'thing he could have done better' was miss the keeper<cheers>

Clean through on the half way line <doh>

The first yellow was never a booking, a terrible decision and farcical, were three of your bookings not for professional fouls, shirt pulling when breaking away, blatant cheating. Several times Rutter ended up giving a Hull player a piggy back and nothing was given.

It matters not, we’ll be in the top two come the end of the season, you might enjoy the playoffs as despite the lack of any bite up front you looked organised and one of the slightly better teams we’ve played.

Pop back to the Hull board now and argue with one of your own, did you know you have a match day thread, you’ll enjoy it as there are several pages of your own fans stating you were fortunate, outplayed and your keeper saved the day so go argue with them at how dominant you felt you were.
We were invited here btw. I guess it was to liven up your board a bit, so job done, I guess. Thanks for the memories.

You do know they were play-off finalists last season, and may have been close to automatics if it wasn't for the issues with not playing at home for the first part of the season? Oh but no, obviously you're going to pish this pathetic league.

I know Coventry strengthened this Summer but losing Gyökeres and Hamer will hurt them this season.

I’m having mixed feelings about Rutter, beginning to think he is another Bamford in that he needs a lot of chances to score and worse when the pressure is on. He scored a great goal against Ipswich and it’s all very well smashing the ball in two goals up in the last minute of a game but that’s two one v one’s he’s missed at 0 v 0 when it really matters so we could be four points better off.
Some of his link up play is good.<ok>

I think the last 3 games have shown us what's quite possibly in store for this season, brilliant at times, bloody frustrating at others. Better finishing and we've have had 9 points not 5 but a few teams supporters will possibly be saying the same. We're creating chances which is step one, now we just need a bit more composeur to be finishing them off. I think that's the third time already this season that the opposing keeper as been motm.
I'm looking at it as a 2 season project, anything near auto's will be a great achievement this season, especially with the **** show Farke inherited.
Who would have thought we'd get 7 pts from three difficult away matches.

Most of the Leeds fans on here don’t go to games. Armchair fans who watch dodgy streams and Sky.
Into my 52nd year of supporting this great club. I've been travelling over since 1979, by boat, train, coach and air, all my sons travel over now as well. Admittedly I can't afford every home game, but it takes a lot more effort to travel over. Easy when you live in the city. I probably should have supported Hull because my mother was born there. Anyway I shouldn't have taken the bait, but there you go. <ok>

Only correcting the arrogance of Leeds ‘fans’ who don’t go to games and talk ****e about other club’s supporters who actually do. <ok>

Can't remember what the first booking was for - kicking the ball away? Whatever - it was a yellow because the ref gave him a yellow. The 2nd was a deliberate foul and therefore a 2nd booking (just as our yellows were deliberate fouls). The bloke knew he was - rightly or wrongly - on a yellow and can have no complaints about being sent off.

Not sure if you'll be top two - top six for certain, We might get top 6 - but more likely top 10 IMHO.

Tough game for us tonight. I expect Leicester and Leeds to be right up there come the end of the season. I expect both teams to score and we cannot allow Leeds to break quickly because I think Leeds wide players will outpace our full backs and Piroe usually hits the target at this level if he gets a chance. I'd love us to sneak a late winner but I reckon it will be 1-1

Well I clearly jinxed the BTTS! I was right about not letting Leeds break quickly, though - the one time they did they should have scored through that 1v1. The one thing we got right 1st half was showing Leeds wide players inside and not letting them get down the flanks. They kept running into midfield traffic. I will never know how Traore missed at the end - shades of Ronnie Rosenthal - A draw a fair result though from what I felt was a pretty low key game and both teams have more to offer. Onwards to Stoke
