It turns out, that if you change the 'x' back to 'twitter' on a link, it will embed as it did before...
Philogene would look better on the right as he's a right winger (he also needs to bring the other players into his one man show, a lot of work is needed with him but the potential is massive) Twine is just another Malcolm, get chased for ages because he's someone the manager or owner were obsessed with getting and does nothing, we have better players in that position anyway. Delap plays better in the middle, because he's a CENTRE Forward Slater isn't in the same league as Ashbee or Marney, we paid £50k for a reason...... he's no better than that valuation, OK he's had a few decent games but so could anyone with the players we have around him. I'm not too sure why we have the ability to sign left backs who are bettter wingers than defenders, I think Dawson was probably the last left back we had, that was a defender Just saying it as I see it
Can’t disagree with most of that, although I’d settle for mainly home draws against the better sides in the division, if we can keep up the habit of winning away!
Very true that’s as long as we beat the weaker teams although it’s never easy who ever you play. Hopefully though a lot more home and away wins to come.
The slander twine is getting is completely out of pocket, he’s just turned up, looks to be comfortable on the ball and plays with his head up. Gets in good positions too, I’m not worried he will play a big part this season I’m sure of it.
It's not really slander, he's just been poor the last couple of games and with the options we have in that area we don't need to carry players not on form.
Comparing him to Malcolm is ridiculous. He has been poor and should drop to the bench, but he's already shown plenty.
Comparing him to Malcolm is daft ( I still offer more then Malcolm and I've not played for 17yrs ) but saying he's shown plenty is a little OTT as well. I think the fact he was talked up so much hasn't helped him either. Dropping to the bench for a fit tufan would be best for now
I went to the game thinking that Luke Ayling was a complete bellend .......... and I left the game with my thoughts duly confirmed.
Acun and LR's comments on Twine, and how we courted him for a number of months, hasn't helped. Seems a little bonkers to be honest. He's not a youth any more, at 24 he should be entering his prime years, but he needs taking out of the spot light for a couple of games and re-introducing with 30 minute cameos until he earns a starting spot. Let's hope he kicks on over the course of the season.
We still mess about too much at the back, sometimes it appears without purpose - having said that we have significantly reduced the suicide passes- the slow build up means we are missing some killer through balls in attack- there were a few occasions last night where a winger could have been through but we chose to stop and pass back again - we need to stop thinking we can walk the ball into the net As far as individual performances - Allsopp kept us in the game in the first half and full credit to Rosie for picking him, Christie was poor first half, For me Greaves had one of his better games but he's too slow when having to chase back - thought Macca got to grips with their centre forward much better and threw him to the floor a couple of times where Greaves was getting pulled about - Twine continues to show promise but just isnt delivering the end result - not sure how long you can continue playing him unless something changes - Fillet of fish is clearly very talented but tries to do too much sometimes and ends up losing the ball - but will be an exciting player for us once he settles on - Moreton is excellent and has fitted in immediately - felt sorry for Traore - hopefully it hasnt shattered his confidence - good point last night, could have won but equally could have lost
Morton is a real gem, if you're get the chance, watch him for 5/10mins off/away from the ball. His reading of the game and off the ball movement is way beyond his age
