Not had Champions league for a season so early start for this thread. Given the current injuries injury state, I really think we should be going three at the back and using Dalot and Reguillon as wing backs. Back three is Martinez, Maguire, Lindelof. Have assumed Amarabat (and Mount) not yet ready, so midfield three is then Casemiro Eriksen Fernandes Front two is Rashford off Hojlund. Once Amrabat is fit, we should go back to 4 2 3 1. Who knows though, depends who is available and arsed to train and play.
Still fancy us to finish second in the group, so as long as the scoreline isn't too damaging and the squad aren't further demoralised than they already are - we should be OK
I think we should be going into the game to get a result, especially given how sht we were in the last match. Consequently, the manager should expect a professional response from the team. There’s enough experience in that team even with injuries to match Bayern who are not exactly the force of yesteryears. They are going through their own transition period so we shouldn’t pin ourselves to underdog status before the ball is kicked. If the midfield stays compact and leverage Rashford’s intensity from the left, then the relationship with Hojlund should start yielding returns. Lastly, given I’m not the one that opened this thread like my last two failed attempts, I expect a win!
I enjoyed watching Dan Gore in one of the preseason games. He enjoyed having the ball from box to box and with lots of energy.

Wasn't expecting Maguire to now be injured tbf. Although I'd say McTominay could fill in there. I'd rather he be there than in actual midfield. McT middle of a back three with Lindelof and Martinez. Could work.
It could, I can't see him doing it mind. He's not played a back 3 yet iirc and I don't see him starting in this game. We're in deep **** tomorrow. Only way we get anything out of this is if our front 3 are on fire and score 2 or 3.
