We nick this one. We are simply better than them. They try and play a bit and that will give us some time on the ball and some space. 1-2
Head Coach Tony Mowbray has offered an update on the availability of several first-team players as he prepares his squad for tomorrow’s trip to Blackburn Rovers. After back-to-back wins in the Sky Bet Championship, the Lads are hoping to build on recent form when they head to Ewood Park. However, they will be without Pierre Ekwah and Dennis Cirkin. “Dennis is going to be a few weeks. He will potentially be back after the next international break”, said the Head Coach. “Pierre, he has a haematoma or a dead leg. Within five minutes of the game starting (at QPR), he got another bang and it was too sore for him. “It is quite swollen so he probably needs around ten days to let it settle down. We don’t have any huge concerns about it but he will miss a game or two.” Meanwhile, deadline day arrival Nazariy Rusyn is ineligible to play due to the ongoing process relating to his visa. “Rusyn still hasn’t got his visa so he is not going to travel for this one but we will get to that point”, continued the Head Coach. “There was every expectation that it was going to be here this morning but we went out to training, came back in and it is still not here. “It is a little bit frustrating for him but he is happy to do some training. He needs to get up to speed as he hasn’t played a game for three or four weeks.”
Think him and hemir will notch their first goals tonight with Clark getting his obligatory one from outside the box
For me I think we still need to be careful with Rigg he has only just turned 16 and is not physically as big as some of the other players and this game will become quite physical as Blackburn do like a lot of big guys in their team. Think we may see Rigg off the bench at some point but don't expect him to start. I do however think he is growing in confidence with every appearance and it wont be too long till TM gives him his first league start but also think its important that his introductions to games are done correctly and think TM has bee excellent with the lad and is nurturing his talent very well.
I think one of the things that's impressed me the most since TM has been here is his apparent ability to know how to handle these young players. He seems to have a genuine connection with them, their needs and what to do to get the best from them.
They really don’t like TOny do they. I took this from the Blackburn Fans Forum. He was a gurning chump from the day he arrived. Leopards can't change their spots, and neither can chumps change the fact that they gurn. He'll be at it tomorrow, mark my words, if those nasty football professionals do a job on him JDT style.... We might lose, of course - in which case he will still look like a bag of wind. looking for a constipated arse to occupy. JDT, on the other hand, will give praise where it is due, and fire linguistically devastating barbs at those responsible for making him (and us) go to war with toy guns. But at least he will have the glint of the divil in his eye as he speaks, and not the lacrimose and dispeptic air that emanates from sir Tony of Gump's visage. For GAWDS SAKE LADS, turn up, do the job, bury the bastards and laugh all the way home. COYB! They have a totally different view from us.
Dear me, I didn't realise Russel Brand was a Blackburn fan. 'linguistically devastating barbs' ... ... ' the lacrimose and dispeptic air'. What a sad self-obsessed little turd, everybody thinks they're a journalist addressing the nation these days How utterly baroque And what's with 'GAWDS SAKE' ffs, are they all Cockneys in Lancashire!
