I don't often agree with aaaaaaaaaaaagh, but there was an article with quotes from Warnock saying we're definitely not in for Pavelechenko, but it didn't say a thing about Defoe which sounded strange as he's been mentioned far more. Maybe I'm just being hopeful, but each time TF or NW speak about transfers its always with a little more confidence and vigor and I think they both want quality 'names'. Not long to go now and we shall see whether the revolution is truly on or not.
Yes, bizarre isn't it. Two or three of our posters were slating Ruiz as a waste of money after 45 minutes play in one game and still criticise.
so it begins ... TF has asked us to decide if that isn't good PR then what is? My money is on deals have been done for Bassong and others If we got AJ then great asset very very good player and in form
Indeed TBGWTDT, I believe we will take Bassong & Defoe and also AJ. Where that leaves the squad I have no idea. I fancy Hall to leave as is his ££££ contract up next Summer?
C'mon Deano, you've gotta walk before you can run. This season is all about consolidation and I think Johnson would help us achieve that. Sure in a season or two we'll hopefully be looking at players from the next notch up but at the mo I think he'd be a decent acquisition.
Are you talking about the same player? The one that cost Fulham £10 million (I've just found out)? He's a great player, lightning quick and can score. How does that compare to Dave or Hulse? Only one drawback...the injuries
Which equates to about 40 grand a week, which is about half of Bartons wages. I would rate them as more or less the same, ability wise. Crazy crazy world indeed
Swords,i agree that it will take time to get where we want to be,but i just dont rate AJ..footballs all about opinion and imo hes not good enough..AJ's stats are nothing to write home about. He played 61 games for everton and scored a paltry 17 goals and is currently on 13 goals at fulham after 74 games! and hes not a spring chicken!.
As well as oldest team in the prem, are we now looking to be the most vertically challenged? Hey ho. Hey ho. It's off to Stoke we go...
